Merissa (13956 KP) rated Alpha's Curvy Obsession (Primal Alphas #8) in Books

This is a fast-paced, insta-love between an art collector and an artist. He is older, established, and a billionaire. She is twenty-two, just starting out in life, and living on ramen noodles. He has been obsessed for three years, but only now gets to meet her properly.
The premise of the story is an intriguing one, but it never really fulfils its promise. A lot is skimmed over, which I know is usually the way with a novella, but for the topics covered, I feel it should have more depth. It is definitely more focused on the steamy scenes rather than the story. And maybe it was how I read it, but the timeline didn't fully match up. She wins the award, he invites her to his gallery, she goes into heat for three days, and is pregnant by the end of it. But then the next chapter says six months later, and she's only four-and-a-half months pregnant? Maybe I missed something? I would also have liked the cover to represent the FMC.
Anyway, if you're after a steamy omegaverse, then this might be just what you wanted.

I loved this foray into an Omegaverse different from others I have read. There was no shifting, no wolves, just Alphas and Omegas. The explanation of Alex's synesthesia was done in a way that was helpful, without it seeming as just a piece of information! It formed part of the story, integral to Alex, and that was just perfect. His own realisation of what the colours meant was was of the best scenes for me.
This was hot and steamy, with a dash of Daddy kink; plenty of laughs; some heartbreak and confusion; and lots of hints about what and who will come in the next book. I can't wait. This was well written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed. I thoroughly enjoyed every word, and I will be reading more in this series!

This was a great, different story that I not only enjoyed but also appreciated. I don't know if I'd survive in that world, especially not in the corporate world, as their corporate-speak left me cold. In fact, I nearly gave up on the story because I didn't like it that much! Stick with it - it gets better, I promise. The corporate-speak is there for a reason, and you will easily see the difference it marks as the story progresses.
Evenly paced and well written, this story hooked me in. The main characters are great, and are also ably supported by side characters, all of whom have hidden depths. Well, most of them. I look forward to returning to this world and seeing more of how the Primal Triad develops.

Oh, but I loved this story. It is both sweet and smutty, innocent and filthy, and I am here for it! The reactions on both sides to certain situations were spot on and completely believable. I loved how Flynn's freaky side came out to play, and how he made Seth pay for lying to him. But most of all, I loved how they were together. So hot and it was caring, even when they indulged in primal play.
I love this author's Daddy books, and now it seems as though I love her omegaverse too! Loved every yummy moment and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

Amelia is a nurse who has been captured by the felines for transportation to a breeding centre. Funnily enough, she's none too keen on the idea. When Mother Nature sends a storm to help out, she is quick to take advantage. Unfortunately for her, Vex is flying overhead, patrolling his territory, when he spots her and scents her.
I loved Vex! Yes, he was an Alpha, but he also had a heart. And although he knew from the beginning that Amelia was his, he wasn't obnoxious about it either, unlike some of the others I've read.
With some high heat, this story also had emotions, connections, and action. The Council are none too pleased with Vex claiming Amelia and will do anything to retrieve her.
I wasn't too keen on the last book, but I did enjoy this one a lot more. Chapter 16 was repeated in my copy, but on the whole, there were fewer repetitions than in previous stories. I am hoping for all the stories to connect at some point, but am enjoying the different scenarios as they each conclude.
