Warlord's Prize is the fourth book in the Prime Omegaverse series, and is a standalone story featuring Emi, the leader of her village, and Kazuul, the Warlord oni who runs everything.

As with the previous books in this series that I have read, it starts with dub con and a public claiming as Kazuul takes Emi. She is not just a body for him though, and her mind surprises him. So much so, that she actually becomes part of the council meetings. Through her, changes are implemented, production goes up, and humans become happier. Good thing all round, right?

Wrong! The Emperor of the oni is none too pleased that his half-brother is doing better at this ruling business than he is. Especially once Emi defies his attempt to take her away from Kazuul. This leads to assassination attempts, plus a personal tragedy.

I found this to be a gentler story than the previous one I had read, although still full of action. And yes, as with my previous review, there is lots of repetition here too. BUT, saying that, either I'm more used to it now or it wasn't as much, because it definitely didn't disrupt my reading flow like the last one did.

I am thoroughly enjoying the series and hope to continue it, as well as reading other stories by this author. Definitely recommended by me if you like your books with a dark edge.

ENTANGLED BETA is the second book in the Murder and Mayhem Omegaverse series. I haven't read the first, but would definitely recommend it as there were parts that I didn't fully understand. It didn't have a massive impact on my enjoyment of this story, but I think it would help if you knew more.

The first thing that I loved is that Sasha is a Beta. Too often, they're forgotten, or only mentioned as hard workers. Sasha is not someone to overlook, or if you do, it's at your own cost! She is multi-faceted, happy with stabbing the bad guys, or making sure her omega is safe. Whatever you need, Sasha will make sure you have it.

As for the guys, Levi is the one who was introduced first, followed by Stone, and then Flynn. Each of them brings a special something to the story, and it wouldn't be the same without them. Stone is my favourite and my heart broke for him over and over, while he also made me laugh.

The story was well-paced, being neither too fast nor too slow, and a mixture of character- and plot-led, and this is where I think that prior knowledge would have been handy to have. Saying that, I still thoroughly enjoyed this story and would continue with the series going forward. I want to read the first book in the series now! Definitely recommended by me.

SHADOW'S CLAIM is the third book in the Prime Omegaverse series and this one takes place in the Shadow region - surprise!

Nova is an omega who hides her scent by chemical means, knowing if she is discovered, it means either being claimed or being sent to a breeding facility - neither of which sound like much fun. Kael is an enforcer with a bad reputation that is well deserved, who has had Nova in his sights for a while now. However, when her chemical suppressants fail, everything changes.

I enjoyed the world-building in this story and would like to see where the story arc is going. BUT I would suggest another run through by an editor. There were way too many repeated paragraphs, descriptions, and specific words. I lost count of how many times this was used in the story, but basically, every use of the words tongue and c0ck was preceded by prehensile. Every. Single. Time! So, yes, although the story was a good one, the repetition of certain words, where he was putting his hands, where her marks were, how he stroked her cheek in a gentle caress that was different to how they had first met... it took some of the enjoyment of the story away for me.

Also, this is a dark romance with Dub-Con, so if this is a trigger, please be warned.

A great ending that suggests plenty more to come. Plus, I hope we get to know Nimara and Briar in more detail. If you like dark romance and can cope with repetition, then I recommend this story.

TAYLIN'S TEMPTATION is the second story, but the first full-length novel, in the Divergent Omegaverse series. As you might have gathered, this book focuses on Taylin and Hollis, whom we met in the introductory short story.

These two met five years before this story starts, but both of them hid behind a professional veneer. Once Derick and Lane announced their retirement, Hollis' position within the company changed, ensuring that he and Taylin work closer together. Apart from that, nothing much changes until they go on a work trip together. Hollis had tried warning Taylin that his heat was due, but Taylin's naughty wolf stopped him from hearing that, and so Taylin insisted he come with him on the trip. The gloves are off when Hollis goes into heat!

There are a lot of different personalities in this story, some of which I can't wait to learn more about, some of which I don't particularly like right now. However, I'm reserving judgement as I know Ms. Sayle has a way of making you like even the man-whorish of character! It is a bit much at times, but I was always thankful to return to Taylin and Hollis.

This story is also full of light-hearted moments between brothers and close friends. HOWEVER, it's not all fun and frolics. During the above-mentioned work trip, they find a business that is decidedly not light-hearted, with the conditions the omegas are working in and under being disturbing, to say the least. I really hope this is one of the threads that continues and these omegas get their own HEAs, whether that's a mate or having a career.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait to continue with the series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

Cassidy and Trey are perfect for each other!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This book was originally called Ranch Down and was published in an anthology, it hasn't had any revisions, bar some minor editing. It's based in the Divergent Omegavesre world, but can totally be read as a stand alone novel to that series. It's a jumping off point, the start of a new series, set on Darling Ranch.

Cassidy and Trey have a friends with benefits thing going on. Neither will admit to the other, but they both want more. The arrival at the Darling Ranch of the Starling brothers presses ALL of Trey's buttons and he claims what really has been his for a long time. But can a city wolf and a farm chick really be happy?

This was, and I defy anyone to tell me otherwise, the most too stinkin cute, warm and fuzzies, low angst book I've read in a long time!

Cassidy and Trey really are perfect for each other. They know it. We know it but they refuse to admit to the other about it. It takes a Starling to flirt with Cassidy for Trey to broadcast his feelings across the bar and go all cave man on Cassidy and I loved that!

It's steamy, with Cassidy and Trey already in a relationship, of sorts. They already know what they like, what the other likes, so the first time is straight in, so to speak.

Once they admit to the other what they really want, they go all in and are out to make this work, they just need to find a compromise in the location of them being together.

Loved Cassidy's girls and their outfits!

Some overlap in the timeline with Silas's Sweetheart, which is the Divergent Omegaverse book 4. We do meet Cass and Trey there.

Thoroughly enjoyable hour's read!

4 very good stars

BOOKER'S BLISS is the third story in the Divergent Omegaverse series, and for part of the story, we get the same events that happened in Taylin's Temptation. This doesn't happen for long, but just so you're aware.

Frey is the flirty fox, the one everyone thinks is the Omega version of Jupiter. Booker is the big bear who growls all the time. What would these two have in common? Well, a lot of things, as it happens. Not only that, but there's also that thing called attraction, although neither of them will admit to it...

These two are sweet, and both have their own baggage. Booker helps Frey work through his trauma, but deals with his own by himself. Well, with Derick by his side. Due to said trauma, this is more of a slow burn than other books by this author, but it fits. And while I liked that they didn't do anything until Frey's heat, I also sort of wish they had. So Booker would have known that it was just heat madness talking. And Frey, too, now I'm thinking about it. That's shown afterwards, but yeah, I'd have liked to have seen a bit more beforehand.

I will give a Kleenex warning, though. If you've read Taylin's Temptation, you'll remember the incredibly sad circumstances of a certain factory. Well, not only do we revisit that particular moment, but we also go past it, with some tragic and happy events. My eyes were leaking, but as Frey says, blame it on the hormones.

I loved returning to this world and look forward to seeing them on the ranch for the next book, which is Silas and Ziggy's.

The Selkie's Coat is the first book in the Waves of Fate series and we start off with a seal (obviously!) shifter and a human omega. In this omegaverse, shifters are common knowledge, human omega's are rare, and new things are being learnt all the time.

Gregory is amazed to find his fated mate when he is so young - only 100 plus years - and is determined to do the right thing and give his human mate a chance to learn about what a fated mate is. This goes against what his inner animal wants to do and causes strife between the two of them. Daniel hadn't known a human omega could even mate with a shifter so the whole thing came as a surprise to him. He is fascinated by Gregory, even more so when he gets a glimpse of his seal speaking through Gregory's human body. Understandably, though, his feelings swing like a pendulum as he doesn't understand just what is going on.

This is a lovely slow-burn romance with a sweet Alpha and a headstrong Omega. Sometimes I wanted to whomp Daniel upside the head as he seemed to swing so much and vent his frustrations on the wrong person. Don't get me wrong, I liked Daniel but sweet Gregory was the one I fell for.

One thing I loved straight away in this book is the amount of shifters here - and it's not always cats or wolves! Scenting their mate is a big thing in most paranormal books but in this one, because Gregory is a water shifter, for him it's the sound of Daniel's voice. I loved that!!! The oh-so-simple idea that different shifters have different ways of knowing their mates. 😍

I don't know who's story is coming next but I can't wait for Winston and Henri's! If you love Omegavers stories and like a sweet, slow-burner then I have no hesitation in recommending this one!
