Ill Be Running Man
The Running Man- is actually a good movie. Its action mixed with sci-fi mixed with survival. And who better than Arnold to be in it. He does say alot of one liners in this movie. Like his one liner in the terminator, "Ill be back".

The plot: In the year 2019, America is a totalitarian state where the favorite television program is "The Running Man" -- a game show in which prisoners must run to freedom to avoid a brutal death. Having been made a scapegoat by the government, an imprisoned Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger) has the opportunity to make it back to the outside again by being a contestant on the deadly show, although the twisted host, Damon Killian (Richard Dawson), has no intention of letting him escape.

Wait one second, its 2019 and this is has not happened yet. It still could.

Its a very underrated sci-fi action 80s movie. I would reccordmend watching it.

Wow, havent seen this in a long time. Made me want to be a an actress. Loved it and everything that came after. As a one man show he proved that limited range ( in this) was absolutely an a-ok way to do comedy. Hes so good that even the most serious viewer cant help but fall for the goof.

Mel Rodriguez recommended Das Boot (1981) in Movies (curated)

Das Boot (1981)
Das Boot (1981)

"I love Das Boot just because it’s a real keen movie. But I’m doing this show, The Last Man on Earth too, and there’s this thing where [my character] Todd is kind of crumbling. He’s got all this stuff on his plate; he’s just kind of starting to fall apart a bit. And there’s this one scene in Das Boot, where one of the guys realizes he is going to die, just losing it. Something about this one actor — he’s able to convey every single bit of claustrophobia and fear, and man, he’s able to convey all that on his face somehow in a moment. Literally, I think the scene is probably about two minutes long, and you just feel everything, man. You know these guys are about a thousand feet underwater, and literally you take that ride with him. I think some of the performances are just so unbelievable."

Meg has been drafted as the coordinator of the show house, which will be decorated by a group of designers and then opened to the public to raise funds for local charities. However, when Meg goes back to lock up late one night, she finds one of the designers murdered in the master bedroom. He wasn’t a very well-liked man, but who actually hated him enough to murder him?

Yes, this book does tie in to Christmas as well (as hinted at by the title). It’s a fun mystery I thought I had figured out, but I was surprised in the end. The characters are great, although Josh and Jamie, Meg’s twins, completely stole the show. I would have liked to see more from one thread from the previous book, but hopefully that will show up in the next in the series.

I used to watch the original To Tell the Truth; the old one in black & white, late at night on the Game Show Network, and loved it. It was charming, classy, intriguing, delightful, and funny. So I was excited when the modern iteration of the game show came out. I'm not a huge fan of the host but he's tolerable. What I don't like is his mother, Doris. She makes disgusting sexual comments that are highly inappropriate to the male contestants. Comments that would not be tolerated if a man were making them toward a woman. The men are visually uncomfortable with her remarks but they play it off like it's a funny joke, but it isn't. I'm appalled that that level of sexism is allowed on television in the post #metoo movement world. I would have thought that people realized that you can't treat people like a piece of meat but apparently Doris did not get that message. She needs to go! Boot her off the show!

Other than her, they have people with interesting secrets and truths to tell on the show and it's fun to try to guess which one of the contestants is the one with the secret. It's a shame that Doris has to spoil an otherwise entertaining show.
