In my opinion, Wes Anderson is pretty overrated. Other than Grand Budapest Hotel, I haven't been a big fan of anything else that he has done, yet critics and fans seem to adore everything he touches. This meant that I had hardly any hype going into Isle Of Dogs and only seen it because of some good reviews I had read online.
This film is great. It features an incredible cast, whose voices all work remarkably well for this story. The stop-motion animation is astonishing and beautiful at times and it tells an interesting, satisfying story.
There isn't much not to like here, the only thing that I will say is that although the animation style makes this sort of look like a kids movie, I would not recommend it for kids. There are some fairly adult themes present and a kid would probably get bored while watching too.
Overall, this film is definitely worth a watch, even if only to see the impressive stop-motion animation on show.

Nicholas Atkinson (0 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 in Video Games

Well first it's a next gen rockstar game so the graphics are on point and look amazing. The gameplay itself is pretty fluid and gunplay is really fun. Missions are fairly unique. (0 more)
The controls can get buggy from time to time and make your horse act weird or make it hard to run and jump on your horse. (1 more)
Sometimes i had to restart a at a checkpoint because it wouldn't progress on the story. The first chapter is horrid and takes 10 years to finish.
Pretty good but lacking
All in all it was a decent game but I wish they would have cut down the hand holding they do in the first chapter to like the first mission and let you do what you want from the start. It was the same way when online multiplayer dropped they made you do what they wanted you to do for like the first 2 hours. With that being said I loved the graphics, the missions were fun, being in the wild west lifestyle was fun, I would definitely recommend giving it a play.

Bleak and uncompromising...
I read about this film online and thought it sounded interesting. I had never heard of it but purchased anyways and I was not disappointed.

Maybe some of you British people may remember this film which aired on BBC 2 in 1984 and was basically about what would happen if Britain was caught in the crossfire between the US and USSR and the effects of not only the atomic bombs used, but the torturous unrelenting aftermath. Portions of the 2nd half of the film were reminiscent of scene's from Schindler's List or even a WWII holocaust documentary. The ravages of war make humanity do unspeakable things to each other and this film depicts it all.

The contrast of the "before" and "after" are what are the most striking. How the filmmaker sets a tone at the beginning and then turns everything on its end mid way through. I wasn't entirely sure where it was going or how things would end up; however, I was intrigued throughout.

Watch it if you are able.

I own the iPad Pro 10.5inch and the Apple Pencil and use it a lot for watching videos, editing photos (I’m a photographer), note-taking (an online university student) and drawing as a hobby. The iPad Pro definitely feels a lot faster than previous iPads, and I do like the inclusion of a better camera which is perfect for scanning pieces of paper to make that easier for storage & annotating with university notes. It’s been perfect for photo editing thanks to lightroom (and I look forward to seeing full photoshop on it) which has meant I’ve been able to edit both my own photos & photos for university assignments on the go! Touch ID has made the iPad feel very secure, so I don’t feel as if someone will do something on it, especially if they’ve don’t know my code. Being able to multitask on it too has been so useful, so I’ve been able to watch/listen to videos while taking notes.
I highly recommend this, although I have no clue how it compares to the newest iPad Pro that uses USB-C

Only need the core book, a pen/pencil, and paper to get started
Can always add scenery, figures, etc over time
Plenty of content online

Can be complex for beginners (1 more)
Can sometimes cause minor arguments
Easily adaptable for any age
Dungeons and Dragons is a massive table top game. You can stick to the core games all you want, or create your own content and game. For anyone with even a small amount of creativity, it's amazing.
This will probably be one of my poorer reviews, as D&D is so huge it's hard to describe it. You and your party can be a mix of fighters, rogues, magic users and all sorts, fighting off the dead, dragons, bandits, werewolves, goblins, and more. And while you do it, it's more than likely going to cause hilarity, and some exciting, tense moments.
It can be almost anything you want it to be.

Lee (2222 KP) created a post

Nov 20, 2019 (Updated Nov 20, 2019)
There have been a few posts on here about favourite/greatest Christmas movies and it's one of those topics that is always hotly debated. So... I decided to create 'The Smashbomb Greatest Movie of 2019' competition! 50 movies (apologies if your favourite didn't make the cut), split into 2 groups. In the coming weeks leading up to Christmas I will run a poll for each block of 5 so that you can vote for your favourite, with the top 2 from each block moving onto the next round. At that point, each group will have 10 movies in the next round and there will then be a poll to cover each block of 5. The top 3 from each group will then move onto the final deciding poll! The attached image will (hopefully) explain the process a bit better and if this isn't easily readable then I will put a hi-res version online, updated regularly as the competition progresses. The first poll will be up on here shortly - I look forward to seeing what the definitive best Christmas movie is!
