Compelling story beautiful, open-world
Much like Far Cry 4 (which I loved) this is an open-world, vaguely linear action adventure game. Lots of terrain to explore, lots of odd encounters with strange NPCs.
The difference, and the real hook for me, is the storyline. Trying to avoid spoilers, go watch the trailer and get sucked in. Based in the US you are a US Marshal fighting a religious cult. Trying to reclaim Hope County from this bizarre and extreme set of believers.
The multiplayer is good and well thought out and different but I will admit that I have spent very little time in the Multiplayer world of Far Cry 5.

Unique Game Play
I loved this game. This game is well written and plays like a detective movie. The facial animation in this game, used to decide whether or not someone is lying, makes this game great fun and can change your outcome.

Best Game of 2017
The world in this game is breathtaking. Gorgeous detail went into this game and it maintains the 'toonish' Zelda style while being a more refined work of art. There's so much to explore, the main storyline itself as well as different areas off the beaten path. The cooking system is fun to play with, and you can interact with almost everything in the world. Secrets are everywhere and discovering them all presents a challenge aside from the main questline.

Futuristic Cavemen and Robot Dinosaurs
Although this game was originally slated for release in late 2016, it eventually dropped in February this year. Think the mechanics of the rebooted Tomb Raider series, mixed with Assassin’s Creed and you have Horizon Zero Dawn. The game includes an awesome open world to explore, a host of interesting characters and a whole bunch of badass robot dinosaurs to hunt. With beautiful visuals and solid mechanics, the environment is a joy to traverse. The game feels alive, which is something of a rarity in post apocalyptic open world games recently and sets Horizon apart from the more dreary games in this genre. Some of the dialogue leaves a bit to be desired, but other than that, this is an awesome world well worth exploring.

Great Game
Destiny was a great game, and Destiny 2 meets and exceeds the original the continuation of the story line is great and the open world environment has been improved. The controls are similar and it's easy to just step right back into the world and start playing. Lag times have recently increased due to the influx of new players over the holiday but I know this will improve
