The Last Tycoon
The Last Tycoon
2017 | Drama
This new Tycoon, by Amazon Studios and Tri-Star Television, is a winner on all counts. For admirers of Fitzgerald’s book – not to mention those who think “they don’t make them like they used to” – this show is a must-see.

Midnight, Texas
Midnight, Texas
2017 | Drama, Fantasy, Mystery
You have to approach "Midnight, Texas" with caution, but if you're the kind of viewer who can let a bit of fantastical fun drive a quasi-dramatic narrative , then you're in for a treat.

Something different
Bit of a strange film a Western with a horror twist. It has a good cast and witty dialogue but some how felt rather low budget. The main problem is the film could easily be cut by about 30 minutes. It's very slow at the start and middle section. At least it's original.

Moving story
A great and very original film based on a Stephen King story. Also directed by the same director as @The Shawshank Redemption (1994). Also set within a Prison as a guard tells his story of working on Death row and the inmates he came across.

Home Again (2017)
Home Again (2017)
2017 | Comedy, Drama, Romance
Home Again isn't worth getting worked up over. It's not particularly good, is completely tone deaf, and makes no sense at all. But chances are you'll forget about it long before you see Witherspoon again in something much better.

West Of Loathing
West Of Loathing
2017 | Role-Playing
There's a story, there's consistently absurd lore, but not unlike South Park, the game wants to keep you laughing and a little surprised by the weird and unexpected visual joke or silly throwaway line. By and large, the jokes are pretty smart

West Of Loathing

West of Loathing elicits this powerful emotional connection with stick figures. It bonds you to its world with nothing more than doodling and dialogue. There’s a pretty good turn-based adventure game there

Maas takes the time to put into her stories because everything becomes 1000x more realistic and emotional. The story does take a bit to get moving, though, and I wasn’t totally into it until about 1/4 of the way through. So hang in there
