John Krasinski delivers a truly original piece of film. A story of a family surviving in a world where silence must be maintained, otherwise you get killed by some monsters. I was glad we didn't get a load of pointless explanation about the monsters, our knowledge is limited to what we see in the main characters basement.
As you would expect a film with very little dialogue has to rely on score and cinematography both of which work to amazing effect. Acting from all the family is spot on with the actress that plays Regan a very strong performance as also is Emily Blunt.
A Quiet Place is at it's best when it is just silence, even the viewer is scared to make a noise.
Only negative, maybe the ending isn't that great but that's been very critical.
This is a superb original concept and let's be honest there hasn't been many of them recently

A good idea on paper perhaps but this is a big step down from the first. Largely due to the setting but really missing Samara Weaving who barely features this time round. Which is a real shame. You definitely need to see the first to get a lot of the in jokes from events of the first. Definitely one sequel that doesn't come close to the original.

In this film we get the usual bog standard story (aliens chase after powerful weapon, mib get it then lose it then get it back again) and of course the good guy turns out to be a baddie at the end reveal.Whoever wrote the script for this movie obviously couldn't come up with an original idea of his own and just recycled parts from the other films together.
All the chemistry thompson and hemsworth had in their ragnarok is taken away here, they seem bland and uninterested at certain points in the film.
This franchise has had its day in the sun and we really dont need to see it ever again.

Sarah (7798 KP) rated Jumanji: The Game in Tabletop Games

This game looks great, but it's the gameplay that lets this down massively. There are some nods to the original film but the problem is that the gameplay is just far too simple. Only younger children could really get a kick out of this for long. It's just a basic game involving rolling dice and after playing 2 rather short games, we called it a day and quite frankly, wouldn't miss playing it again. I appreciate you can't make a board game exactly like the game in the film, but they really could've tried to make something a little more exciting and interesting. Definitely not one I'd advise paying full price for!
