Each "path" is about 5-6 hours long, discluding side quests.
It is VERY easy to get motion sick.
A perfect cocktail of bullet hell, and hack and slash.

Bee (0 KP) rated Daughter of Smoke and Bone in Books
Jan 29, 2018
I really enjoyed this! Big thanks to my Team Leader at work for buying this for me. What can I say about Daughter of Smoke and Bone? It's original and so thought out. Karou's story and back story are so intricate and well written that I absolutely had to keep reading to find out the ending. Of course I'm going to have to buy the next book now to find out, but it's worth it!

Excellent adaptation from the original
As a young child, I obsessively watched the Animated movie. Growing up, I have read every adaptation I could get my hands on. This movie did a splendid job of translating the animated film to live action. The development between Belle and the Beast was slower in this version which I loved. Overall, I highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys this fairy tale.

REVIEW OF THE PRINCES OF FLORENCE
If you're a serious strategy player that enjoys a thinking man's games, this is one for you: a solid, interesting European design. If you prefer your games in a slightly lighter vein, read this review carefully first to see if Princes of Florence is actually of interest or not.

Dean (6927 KP) rated 30 Days of Night (2007) in Movies
Feb 14, 2018
At last a great Vampire horror film!! It's been a long time coming. I love the Blade and Underworld films but they definitely fit more into the action genre. This is bloody and gory in places, has plenty of tension and a good story about a town under siege for 30 days. The photography is great and vampires look original. Overall it has something for everyone especially those who love a good horror, vampire film!

Ross (3284 KP) rated HeroQuest Advanced Quest in Tabletop Games
Apr 4, 2018
The advanced quest was a step beyond the "newb-friendly" Hero Quest. Dice rolling was made more complex, and the quests became more arduous. This was a step too far and possibly put me off a career in D&D for life, after the gentle, easy to follow rules of the original. The added rules and complexity took away from the enjoyment for me, but then I was only about 11 at the time...

Dean (6927 KP) rated Shutter (2008) in Movies
Feb 27, 2018
A pretty decent effort of a remake of the original Thai film. It compares well and the scenes are very similar, but the Thai version was more jumpy and creepy for me. Though that could be partly put down to knowing what was coming. The imagery of the ghost girl is no way as scary as the Grudge, Ring remakes. Enjoyable film well made and featuring a recognizable cast including Rachael Taylor from Transformers.

Dwight Johnson (1 more)
The comedy
Entertaining but not as good as the original
I love that they recreated a classic but updated it. Kevin Hart and Dwight Johnson are hysterical in it! Jack Black is beyond awful. He is supposed to be a teenage girl, but he behaves as if he is flamboyant and mocking of a homosexual. It's embarrassing to watch his scenes and horrible acting in this particular movie.

Erika (17789 KP) rated The Wedding Singer (1998) in Movies
Jun 16, 2018
I love this film so much. Adam Sandler is toned down as a genuinely good guy and wedding singer. The soundtrack is solid, and every time I hear the song 'True', I remember the last scene with Steve Buscemi singing it.
I loved both of the 'original' songs that Robbie wrote, and the 'Somebody Kill Me' song is hilarious.
Overall, this is probably one of my favorite movies, and definitely my favorite Adam Sandler movie.

Dystopia per episode
I love dystopias, and I love this show because of how it is set up. Each episode promises a new, original and unique dystopia to devour. Some aren't interesting, but most are absolutely mind-blowing. The great thing about this show, is if you don't like an episode or if it doesn't sound interesting, you can just go to a different episode!
