"It probably would be one of the original Robin Hoods, with Errol Flynn, from 1938. Errol Flynn was my hero, and then when I was fortunate enough to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, I asked to be put next to his, which they did. If you’re going to go back to what was my first favorite movie, that was it, and still would be in my top five, without question."

Female Taken
Finally saw this, currently on Netflix. I like Jennifer Garner and she is quite good in this typical revenge action film. It has some good action scenes but it's fairly by the numbers stuff. Very cliche and the main problem is that it has been done better many times before whether it's Taken, Death Sentence, Equaliser, you get the idea. A fun watch though but nothing original.

Thought provoking Thriller
Just started to hear some hype about this Sky Original film, mainly due to Carey Mulligan's fine performance. A real mix of film genres from dark Rom-Com, Thriller and thought provoking drama. It will be going in one direction and quickly change course. It's entertaining and definitely carries a message a lot of people need to hear. Definitely check it out.

"Whimsical, original, hilarious, brave and addicting. At any moment, I can pick up the book, turn to any chapter (even ones I’ve already read) and be transported by the funny, fun, feminist, filmmaker/writer. I reread her adventures and re-experience them. Delightful and surprising, she bares her soul as freely as she bares her body and I’m transported back to my wild and woolly childhood, teenhood and womanhood aches and thrills."

2007 remake of a 1950s original (which I haven't seen), and - I'm sorry to say - , this just didn't do it for me.

Despite starring two stellar actors in Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, I found this to be slow, plodding and just, well, boring; never really taking off or holding my attention at all.

You want to see a good film/Western (in all but name) by James Mangold? Stick with the infinitely-superior 'Logan'.

Original story, set between the events of 'White Night' and 'Small Favor', in which Harry, Molly and Mouse end up investigating a case (and reluctantly teaming up with 'Gentleman Johnny Marcone') that leads to a mad sorcerer living in Chicago's Undertown who has an issue with Marcone becoming a signatory of the Unseelie Accords.

Middle of the road stuff: It adds a bit more to the background of Harry's world, but is not essential.

I actually didn't realize this was a remake until halfway through, and now I fear it's ruined the twist of the original Dirty Rotten Scoundrels that's been on my to-watch list for years. Oh well. The performances are great, the humor mostly works, I really have little to no complaints. It wasn't outstanding, but my wife and I enjoyed it.
