"We will switch gears completely, and I will say the original Sabrina with Audrey Hepburn, which really influenced my style. Just driving up with her trunks of luggage on the back of the car… it was just such a beautiful film. The clothing, I just was like, whoa. The elegance of it, the time period, the black-and-whiteness of it, the cast. It’s just one of those classic films that kind of etched a place in my aesthetics of style and elegance."

"Steven Soderbergh totally rocks. He is the bravest, smartest, most original filmmaker in the U.S. today. I don’t like all his films, but I not only like but admire most of them; and even in his minor work there is still more genuine love and understanding of cinema than in the most accomplished works of some others. Che, the one movie ever made that seriously deals with military strategy, helped me imagine Carlos on a scale that otherwise would have intimidated me."

"Moore is completely unsentimental but able to stir enormous feelings in the reader, or, certainly, in me. Her style is so original: The way this book is structured, the narrative is like an anagram. It begins with Benna, a singer, and her neighbor Gerard. The characters in each succeeding chapter have the same names, but they're different people. In one, she's a schoolteacher and he's a graduate student. I've never read a book where the identity is the same but always changing."

Good Rom-Com-Drama
I've seen a few Amy Schumer films now, so have an idea what to expect, along with Judd Apatow who has done some funny comedies. This was OK, bit longer than many in the genre and with some more drama elements to it. It's funny a lot of the time and more raunchy than most. Amy is what makes it a better than average but still the predictable outcome by the end.

Well written
Brilliant
Possibly the best series yet. Despite the shocking ending of the last series I did wonder if this series might dip a bit below the others. I need not have worried. It carries on much the same with another gripping story and with others close to realising the truth about Dexter. With 2 great guest stars, Peter Weller the original Robocop and Julia Stiles who is great. Again another gripping finale after more close scrapes.

In Heather Webb’s latest novel, she re-envisions Gaston Leroux’s story from 1910 about Christine Daaé, the soprano haunted by the Paris Opera’s “phantom.” This original dramatic work is now best known from its adaptation as a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Webb, however, has new ideas about who Christine and her phantom were. You can read more about what I thought of this novel in my review of “The Phantom’s Apprentice,”

Which version do I review? The original? Directors cut? Aunt June's revised 5th edition? How bout just the basics? Decker is a Blade Runner. He hunts down replicants. Is he one too? Who knows. Wanna learn how to make origami? Sure why not. Darryl Hannah is super sexy. One of the best death monologues in a movie ever! Not her... Rutgers. And how neo-noir can you get?!? Cyberpunk baby!!! It's a slow burn though, so be prepared for a long ride.

A very original sci-fi classic
If I find myself watching a film at least once a year, then I know it's got to be good. Or at least good for me. This is one of the best sci-fi/horror films of all time. Vin Diesel shines (get it) as Riddick. A character so great, they continued his story in a couple of films. Neither of them come close to this one, sadly. But at least we got this one.

Guilty pleasure
We binged watched both the first and second season even though its not normally our kind of show ! 😁
The premise was fine , the beauty of the show is seeing the Australian landscapes and beaches ect. ......... and maybe a laugh or two at some of the absurd contestants.
Season 2 added some nice touches but also lost some too , i hope they come back with a season 3 but go back to the original format and keep the bits they added !
