David McK (3801 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Assassin's Creed Unity in Video Games

I missed this when it first came out, early days of PS4 (at the time I still had a PS3), but am well aware that it had a notoriously troubled launch.

I picked it up late 2025, PS5 era, when it was on sale.

It's a refreshing change from the more-modern RPG era (which, to my mind, are no longer really Assassins Creed games except in name only), only Arno - the main character - does not hold as much appeal as Ezio d'Auditore (from the AC 2 era), and with the main map of France suffering from so much bloat that - at times - it is almost impossible to know where to go next!

Anyway, the formula was further refined in the next game AC: Syndicate (London set) which, I feel, is the superior game.

Mention the words Spider-man, and I'm sure the first thing most people think of is the Marvel comics.

Maybe closely followed by the 70s TV series or 90s cartoon, and the more recent big-screen outings.

What I'm pretty sure is not commonly thought of, however, is a Spider-Man prose novel, which is exactly what this is, alongside being a prequel tie-in to the really-rather-enjoyable 2018 PS4 game.

That game - and, by extension - this novel, sees Peter Parker roughly already 7 or 8 years into his career as Spider-man, with the novel serving to set up the entry levels into the game in which (no spoilers) Spider-Man takes on Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin of Crime, and showing how he got to have his contact in the police force Yuri Wattanabe (sp?)

I played this game on the ps4 and on the whole I enjoyed the game play it's easy to get to grips with but takes a while to master.

The main feature of the game is the X ray kill cam which is the main stay for this and the other sniper elite titles. The story on the other hand felt like it was bearly even there at points and the ending was very similar to sniper elite V2 and didn't go well with the rest of the game

Over all it's a good game but if you own the early titles it's just more of that so no need to purchase

Stand by for Titanfall
When the first Titanfall game was released, I wasn't interested as it was an online only Xbox One exclusive. Then when it was announced that the sequel would have a campaign and would come to PS4, my interest was peaked.
Titanfall 2 wasn't what I was expecting, it's a weird blend of futuristic shooting games like Infinite Warfare and a weird anime. It feels a lot like a third party game from the PS2 era and that's not an insult, it's actually a compliment.
In the current landscape of high end, AAA games and low budget indies, it's nice to get something in-between. A fully realised 3D FPS that isn't afraid to be quirky and try something different. Although it may not be for everyone, it is definitely worth picking up and playing through at budget price.
