A gripping read
I love it when you pick up a book that you know nothing about, from an author you've never read before and it turns out to be a fantastic and addictive read.

This is marvellous Victorian thriller set from the points of view of two flawed yet highly interesting characters. The central plot of murder, intrigue and abuse is written very well and is a brilliant page turner. I literally couldn't put this book down. It's not perfect and gets a tad rambly at times with some slightly old school language, but for the most part it's such an entertaining read. And the ending was completely unexpected and such a great twist, I really didnt see it coming.

In Depth, long page turner

I'm not normally the sort of person who goes in for historical fiction. Especially those set in the Dark Ages, but gave it a go as had heard it was a modern 'must read'.
For something that was over 1000 pages, it never felt like a slog or a chore to read. The more you get in to it, the more you want to read in one sitting.
Admitted, the sex scenes are quite gratuitous and graphic at times. And, taken in a modern context, the continual dumping on the lead character can seem overly harsh, as if the author gets pleasure from torturing his lead. But read the book through the historical lens of it's 12th-13th Century setting, and this reduces the frustrations, and adds to the realism

Ray Reid moved to Florida and didn't expect to have this much "fun". After meeting a few of the locals he finds himself in a twisted murder plot and he is the murderer, except he didn't do it. With the help of his sharp tongue sister from big city Philly, they get to the bottom of the mystery and find the real killer. This book was a real page turner. I kept wanting to pick up the book and find out what was going to happen next and why this guy would get himself into this kind of situation. The story is too sketchy to be convincing, so why is Ray in jail. Getting him out and getting to the bottom of things is what his sister, Sandy is going to do.

About The Book
Joe is a happily married man with a son, William then one day he makes a decision to follow his wife this decision leads him into a downward spiral of destruction.
Life will never be the same again for Joe.

Reflection
How do we know if someone lying? Well we don't really at the end of the day, we don't really want to know if someone we love is lying to us. Once we know someone is lying would that relationship ever be the same again? Probably not.

Brilliant. I enjoyed it.
I have been wanting to read this book for a while and the cover definitely caught my attention. It is a story full of twists, turns and definitely unexpected, shocking outcomes. I would never have guessed at all. Very cruel and devious. Full of secrets, lies and deceit.

An easy to read, fast paced thriller and mystery. Kit and Neve are as bad as each other! I actually loved Jake and Lucies characters. Jake didn’t deserve what happened to him. A real page turner of a read… I found myself getting very angry towards the end and outcome I just don’t understand how someone could do that to Poppy for their own sake… Poor Poppy my heart was with her the whole time.

I would highly recommend.

A warm tale that made you feel good (0 more)
A real page turner
From the beginning of the book you are hooked. Such a warm well wrote book by julia romp telling the tale of life living with an autistic son . Her thoughts and feeling about the lack of communication and love she desperately wants.
Then one day ben a stray cat turns up on the doorstep and there whole world changes.
The story goes through some magical moments where you are left smiling and you dont want to put the book down.
One day while they are on holiday ben goes missing. The story runs through the whole heartache and mystery surrounding the missing cat.
You will find the ending adorable though.
Hope you enjoy the book just as much as I did
