Kate (493 KP) rated Never Nerida in Books
Mar 21, 2020 (Updated Jul 15, 2020)
I thought it was the type of book I would normally read but it was not. Even though it was not my normal type of book I stuck with it but really didn't like it.
I think this was down to the genre but also I didn't feel anything reading it. I wasn't bothered about continuing although I did.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.

Ross (3284 KP) rated I See You (2019) in Movies

No spoilers given, but I loved the sudden twist and the "aaaaah" moment where the viewer realises what has been happening, as the first half is re-told from a different perspective.
The film builds to a gripping conclusion and has several more twists and surprises along the way, keeping the viewer guessing.
One gripe is the music - loud blaring horn used to build up tension becomes very annoying very quickly.

The family unit was just...strange--at least Alex's parent's were anyway. Do people really react like that? Her sisters were okay but also a little wooden. The secondary characters also didn't really sit well with me.
It could all do with the fact that I'm really into reading my urban fantasy/paranormal romance books right now and deviated off track since I'm starting to run low, but i just don't think I was in the right headspace for contemporary romances.
It didn't draw me in and i was continually bored throughout.
