Wonder woman, pretty good I thought but the photography was a little poor in the night scenes. Too grainy and not enough detail for my liking.
The story line was good enough. Dc are still miles behind mcu though, can't see them gaining much ground any time soon if this is the standard they're producing.
I know that last part is a little damning but I still enjoyed the film

"The Wong Kar-wai movie. If you haven’t seen it, you must. It’s beautiful, and romantic, and sexy, and impossibly romantic — did I mention? The imagery and the lighting is gorgeous. It’s a DP’s [director of photography] dream. I think I’m a sucker for images. I don’t really need the words as much as I just want beautiful pictures of places I’ve never been and things I’ve never seen."

At last a great Vampire horror film!! It's been a long time coming. I love the Blade and Underworld films but they definitely fit more into the action genre. This is bloody and gory in places, has plenty of tension and a good story about a town under siege for 30 days. The photography is great and vampires look original. Overall it has something for everyone especially those who love a good horror, vampire film!

Cagney was gangster movies in the early days of Hollywood. No one did it better, though many tried. Bogart is in this one too, so what more could you want? Iconic in every sense, with a final scene often paid homage to. Some prefer The Roaring Twenties or The Public Enemy, but the direct showdown of corruption vs the priesthood, plus some incredible black and white photography, make this golden oldie the one for me.

The Brutality of Face: Interviews with Francis Bacon

"This series of conversations between the painter Francis Bacon and the writer David Sylvester shaped my thinking about art and creativity, and I’ve read it over and over. The words are precise, profound and relevant. Reading what Bacon says about the game of painting in the face of film and photography helped me navigate a way to make figurative painting today. Every time I read them I feel energized and compelled to paint."

F. Gary Gray recommended La Dolce Vita (1960) in Movies (curated)

La Dolce Vita (1960)
1960 | Comedy, Drama

"La Dolce Vita by Federico Fellini, who I’m sure you’re familiar with. And again, not the formula. He was incredible at expressing himself in a way that no other filmmaker could get away with. You see these sequences that may or may not be related. [laughs] Somehow, at the end of it all, it all makes sense, and you’re floored. The photography, and the shots, and the choreography can stand up to anything that’s been released up to now."

"I saw this film when it first came out in the very early ’60s. It’s a chronicle of a decadent society full of Fellini’s incredibly inventive and imaginative imagery. It’s the story of a Roman journalist struggling between producing something meaningful in his life and drifting along a path of total emptiness. I was very young when I saw the film. I was completely inspired by the combination of such beautiful photography and the sad and powerful story."

The Basic Book of Digital Photography by Tom and Michele Grimm
Genre: Educational, Artistic
Rating: 4.5/5

Tom and Michele Grimm have compiled a magnificent handbook for any photographer, beginner or otherwise. This book has everything in it—from how to pick the best camera for you, to when and where to shoot, to editing, to timing… the list goes on and on.

The book is packed with photos, both color and black and white, examples, footnotes, and easy to read and understand text. At first glance it may seem intimidating, but it is so incredibly reader friendly that it’s suitable for almost any age.

The only thing about this book that I didn’t like was that there were only some pictures that were color, and most of them were black and white.

Recommendation: Ages 10+ to anyone interested in digital photography, whether they have been snapping photos for years or whether they’ve never even picked up a digital camera.

"Kelly Reno gives one of the three greatest performances by a kid (next to Anna Paquin in The Piano and Victoire Thivisol in Ponette). Watch him be his own stuntman on an island with no hospital, a production with no net. Kelly Reno is a beast of an actor, and then controls beasts himself. The present crop of abs-obsessed, fake-tough actors should tremble before him. Director of photography Caleb Deschanel shoots this movie effortlessly but still drenches it in beauty."

Didn't expect much from this and there isn't much here worth seeing. Kinda like a Ready or Not wannabe but no where near that level. Tries to be more serious and fails badly. There is quite a long slow build up for a short film with very little Horror content. Then descends into typical clichéd fodder towards the end. You are not missing much if you ignore this invitation.
