A fun picture book take on fairytales, this one starts at "Happily ever after" and works back to "Once Upon a Time." Along the way, we get some surprises and laughs. Highly recommended.

A kid's picture book about a neighborhood sleuth. Here, he searches for Annie's missing painting of her dog. Humor for adults and a mystery that kids can solve make this a winner.

This picture book follows a nice dragon as he gets separated from his family and eventually finds a great life for himself. It's a bit slow, at least for adults, but kids should still really enjoy it.

This lovely little book was recently made into a major motion picture, with a star-studded cast. I enjoyed the film very much, but after seeing it, I had to read the book.
