I'll have a Monkey on the rocks, with a twist...
The time is the future; The world has been ravaged by a bio-engineered plague, and the powers-that-be have decided it's time to do something about it.

Their decision? Put the half-nelson on a poor, unhappy convict (Willis) and tell him he's going back in time to hunt down the source, and kill the lunatic that released the bug before he can do it, thus changing history. Armed with just the knowledge that he's looking for a group called 'The 12 Monkeys', he is dispatched, only to find himself in an unforseen conflict with the local law and a Section 8.

Great performance from Willis, but it was while watching this film that I realised that Brad Pitt is actually more than a pretty face.

One of the best twists in the end of a tale I have ever seen.

This is definitley one of my desert island films, so I'm not really good at objectivity when discussing it but if you like slighty off-the-wall film entertainment I'd say this is a must.

Page turning psychological read
OH MY GOD. This book had me flipping through pages like the Black Plague was coming for me and the only cure was to finish Cross Her Heart. I have never read anything by Sarah Pinborough until I picked this for my September Book of the Month box. I will say that Pinborough will be getting the rest of her novels added to my bookshelf as this is an author that needs to be watched, very closely.

I love how the different POV's worked within this little but punchy novel. It never caused any confusion with the other main character's stories and actually added a wonderful quality to the overall story. Cross Her Heart was such a psychological ride that I now don't know if I'll be able to read anything else that can even compare to this novel. Seriously, everyone needs to watch this author and read her books. This is what thrillers are supposed to be like!

This has been borrowed from the Kindle Unlimited library.

This starts from where the last one left off. Leda is now an angel. Pandora, The Angel of Chaos. She is given her own territory but things never run smooth for Leda. There's a plague of issues attacking the New York City office of the Legion, making its members turn on each other and causing mayhem that eventually starts to travel further afield to the Chicago office and beyond. Initially suspecting demons, Leda and the team try to find the cause but there's nothing that stands out. Then Nerissa, the Legion doctor figures it out, taking everyone by surprise.

I don't want to spoil it by going into too much detail, you'll have to read it to see what else happens in this one.

I do enjoy reading this cast of characters. I love Leda and Nero. I've been cheering them on from their first meeting in book 1, so to see them so happy makes me want to squeal in excitement. They are the perfect bad-arse angel couple.

I cannot wait to read more of this series and this couple.
