Plant Nanny
If you find difficult taking care of yourself but you’re really good at taking care of pets or plants, this is a really good app to change that.
You chose a baby plant and a pot, then you insert your weight and how active you are, after that the app will tell you how much water do you need and you can chose a bottle where later you simply have to click on when you drink the amount of water that the bottle has, that will water the plant and the plant will grow. Later it will go to a garden and give you seeds so you can get a new one.
Warning: if you spend too long without drinking water your plant will die

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2084 KP) rated Mulch Ado About Murder (Local Foods Mystery, #5) in Books

Cam Flaherty is helping new hydroponics farmer, Nicole, by starting a few plants for her. She’s dropping off a few of those plants when she finds Nicole dead in her greenhouse. The police question those protesting Nicole’s hydroponic methods, including Cam’s visiting mother, Deb. Deb is clearly hiding something from the police. Will it get her arrested for murder?
I hadn’t realized how much I had come to love these characters until I was visiting them again. They are wonderful, and I enjoyed getting to catch up on their lives. We’ve gotten to see a lot of growth in Cam over the course of the series, and watching her interact with her parents provides an opportunity for more. And the mystery? It starts quickly and moves along at a brisk pace with plenty of secrets and suspects before we reach the climax.
NOTE: I received an ARC of this book.

Your whole family will sing along!
My five-year-old daughter will not sit still for a single thing and yet she plants herself on the ground when this movie is on and watches with rapt attention and tears glistening in her eyes; that is a better positive review than anything I can write. There is not a bad song in this movie and it will inspire you to hope for more, take risks, and reach for the stars.
Goddess in the Stacks (553 KP) rated The Edible Front Yard in Books

A gorgeous book about growing edibles while maintaining a beautiful appearance
I would definitely give this book the full five stars. It’s filled with gorgeous, full-color, glossy photographs that really show off the concepts illustrated in the book. Soler describes both some common vegetables (corn and beans, for example) as well as some things I didn’t even know were edible, like daylilies and nasturtiums! She includes a lot of unusual edibles, like artichokes and bananas, the latter of which I can’t grow outside here in Maryland. She lives in LA, though, and I completely understand how it must be complicated to write a book applicable to the entire United States!
Her chapters range from “Curb Appeal” – WHY should we care what our yard looks like, and what actually looks good? – to “The New Front Yard Plant Palette” which is all about classic edibles that also look great. Another chapter is about helper plants – plants that aren’t necessarily edible (though some of them are), but that serve other purposes in the garden, such as pest repellant or predatory bug attractants. Both of these chapters list a TON of plants, with short descriptions about why they’re on the list, how to take care of them, and what to use them for. EXTREMELY useful.
Soler has her own blog – The Germinatrix – but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s been updated since 2012. Her Twitter seems to have died about the same time, and her Facebook hasn’t seen a post since early 2013. I’m still hoping to find her presence online, as I love her writing style and would love to find more of her work.

Ross (3282 KP) rated South Park: Phone Destroyer in Apps
Nov 20, 2017 (Updated Nov 20, 2017)
This is basically a South Park version of Plants vs Zombies, where you assemble a cast of South Park characters and look to attack others. There is a "career" mode where you play the New Kid looking to control the cowboys to put Stan and his Indians in their place. This soon develops into battling against Kenny and his aliens/robots.
A great fun little game where you can power up your cards to be more powerful/last longer, and take on other players in PvP battles.
A nice little waste of time.

Terrible acting. And I love both the main actors so it was very surprising. Its quite an interesting plot if it had been done correctly. I watched this movie a couple years ago and blocked it from my brain it was so bad. Then when it popped up on Disney+ I thought it was something new I hadn't seen. Boy was I wrong! Somehow worse the second time around. How the heck do plants choose who lives or dies? How did half of New York or wherever survive and the others didn't? Doesn't make sense.... The rating is a 2 because I liked the old ladies jump scare!

I don't know
A Sci-Fi Horror that starts fairly well but has a rather odd ending that might leave you scratching your head.
A weird shimmer zone appears around a light house and appears to be expanding. Scientist's are not sure what to make and any expeditions into the area do not return.
More traditional Horror to start with as a team of female scientist's enter the area and encounter some strange biological difference's in the plants and animals.
Sadly the ending was very different and odd that's left to your own reasoning as to what it's about. Won't be for everyone.
