Does Anyone Remember This Game
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royle- does anyone remember this game? I guess this is where the term "Battle Royle" starting in video games. Now its "Battle Royle" this and "Battle Royle" that. Ohh lets put "Battle Royle" in Fallout, Battlefield and Call of Duty. Next you will tell me that Mario will have a battle royle game, ohhh.

Anyways, this was Sony's 12 year answer to Smash Brothers. 12 years, is a little late Sony. And uhh it shows. Were as Nintendo games were made by Nintendo, Sony on the other hand, is all over the place. I mean like Naughty dog to Insomnaic to San Monica Studios to Sucker Punch. So its not Sony itself, its hey were had this charcters on this system so lets put them in a battle royle. The ones their could.

The game features a traditional single-player arcade mode, in which players must defeat several randomly-selected opponents, followed by a character-specific rival battle and, ultimately, a battle against the game's main antagonist and final boss, Polygon Man, the former mascot for the Sony PlayStation in North America.

The game received mixed reviews. Critics praised the game's multiplayer components and gameplay mechanics, but the game was criticized for its lack of content and presentation.

The charcters are just all over the place, some of them dont made any sences to why their in the game like why have Good Cole and Evil Cole as two different charcters? Fat Princess?

Its a wired game and not alot of people liked it or know about it. It just came and went by.

Everything about this game is weird. I give sony credit, but 12 years is a little late. Ohh and ahh what happens when Ninento steals your main platform charcter that was exclusive to your consoles. Put in a different charcter that is not as well known. Cough- Raiden.

Joe (148 KP) created a post in Unanswered Movie Endings

Apr 12, 2018 (Updated Apr 12, 2018)
So, I’ll kick things off with the 1982 The Thing… This post could divide opinions but I’d love to know what you guys think. Oh, and ***SPOILERS AHEAD*** for anybody who hasn't seen this movie.

My theory is that Childs is infected and Mac is not. The main reason being that Childs drinks from the bottle that I believe was being used as a Molotov cocktail. After Childs takes a sip from the bottle, Mac gives a grin as if to say he knows he’s infected because he was drinking gasoline instead of whiskey, and since Childs is infected he doesn't know the difference in taste. I’m almost certain some of you will tell me that it’s confirmed in the Playstation 2 game of The Thing from 2002 but personally I don’t think there should be any connection between the two. If my memory serves me correct, you don’t ever see Mac in the PS2 game?…

Either way, let me know what your theory of the ending is.

Good point, I watched it again a while ago. Not sure if it's gasoline in the bottle. You do get a feeling Childs is infected but at that point knows the place is about to blow up.

Ratchet & Clank (2016)
Ratchet & Clank (2016)
2016 | Action, Animation, Comedy
Based on the popular video game series for the Playstation systems, “Ratchet and Clank” has arrived looking to take the duo’s success to the big screen in a new animated adventure. The film follows the diabolical Chairman Drek (Paul Giamatti), who has a nefarious scheme that leaves planets destroyed in his wake. The government decides to hire an additional Ranger for protection which leads lowly mechanic Ratchet (James Arnold Taylor), to see his chance for greatness. Sadly the head of the Rangers; an ego-maniac named Captain Qwark (Jim Ward), dismisses the physically unimpressive Ratchet and thus crushes his dreams.

Fate steps in when a defective robot named Clank (David Kaye) arrives with news that will shake the very fabric of the galaxy. Ratchet and Clank team up to help the Rangers and must overcome all obstacles on all sides to save the day. The animation of the film is solid and it was a bit of a surprise that the film was not presented to us in 3D which has become the norm for animated film. The solid voice cast does a good job and there are more than a few nice celebrity voices along the way. The biggest issue I had with the film was that it was a bit dull and dragged in places. Our screener was loaded with children and families and I saw some leave the cinema during the film and did not return.

The movies takes a while to get going and there are more than a few nods to the game and other Playstation characters along the way. The biggest issue is that it seems as if the film is dedicated to hardcore fans of the series. I have played the last three games in the series and I found myself lost at times as it was clear that this was for those who have been there from the start. This is not to say that new fans will not be gained by the film, but one has to wonder how many children who are not familiar with the characters will have the patience to wait for things to get rolling in the film.

As it stands the film is a good first effort but may or may not be enough to successfully launch a long term franchise.

Paul Smedley (141 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Stardew Valley in Video Games

So addictive
This game is soooo addictive! Bought it for the PS4 and Xbox One and also most recently for the PS Vita now since it’s recent port onto the handheld system.

It’s a super chilled out game with the ability to craft, level up, build, farm and interact with NPCs in a variety of quests and side missions.

If you are a fan of games such as Harvest Moon, Terraria, Minecraft, Animal crossing, etc. then this is a must for your collection.

My only down point is the fact that the days don’t last long in game so if you are away from your house late at night and don’t get back in time, you pass out and lose some money; especially if you get carried away mining!

It’s got a hell of a lot to complete so it won’t be a game that you complete in a day, week or even a month.

It’s usually always on sale, particularly on the Playstation store so you’ll be able to get it for an amazing price.

Give it a try but be warned, once you get into the mechanics of the game, you SHALL be addicted!

Possibly my best friend
I use Netflix on multiple devices including my laptop, TV, playstation and phone. On all devices (but especially the phone app) the service is so user-friendly. Struggling to find something to watch? No problem, Netflix will recommend you different genres of films and TV shows based on the different things you have previously watched and on how highly you have rated them.

One of the more recently added features has been a god send. The ability to download TV shows and films whilst you have an internet connection in order for you to watch them at a later time when you may not have a connection is brilliant for those long journeys or when you're just running low on data.
The only downside about this is that not everything is available to download at this moment in time but things are always being added so I'm sure it's just a matter of time until your favourite things to watch are available!

I highly recommend this app for everyone of all ages.

Manhunt is a classic game released for ps2 & xbox original. The game brought serious intensity to a very dark and violent videogame story.

With so may dark, demented, gory & bloodsoaked videogames released today, manhunt to me remains one of THE very best, although it may not have aged well, it does not take away what a major hit it was with mainstream players.

Manhunt is a stealth-based psychological horror video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games.

originally released for the PlayStation 2 on November 18, 2003, and for Microsoft Windows and Xbox on April 20, 2004.

Manhunt follows the story of convicted serial killer James earl cash, who wakes up after his execution to realise...He's still Alive?!

You take control of Cash, who is given an opportunity to escape by "the Director" a mysterious man who locked you up in carcer city, jam packed with more free roaming criminals..the worst of the worst, who gets off to violence and will be watching your every move via cctv.

If your going to escape. Prepare to get EXTREMELY VIOLENT!

Walking simulator worth playing
Been waiting a long time for this game to be cheap enough so I'd get to see it. And this month, it's free for Playstation Plus subscribers. Well, I'm happy I got to play it because it's one of those games that really touches you. Gets inside you & leaves you feeling blue, happy, mad, hurt & thinking about life itself. The game puts you in the body of Edie Jr. of the Finch family, returning to her family's home, where she grew up. She wanders around, finding diaries of her family & reading them. While she reads them, you get to play their stories, finding how each of them dies. Most of them, not so peacefully,

The game is short. Only 2 hours or maybe 3, if you take your time looking around at the beautifully rendered world, which I did. The story is well written. Each member's story can hit you differently. The hardest one is where you play as an infant. I won't spoil it, but when it ended, the sound of a frog came through my controller. It was like getting kicked in the chest.

My only complaints are the short game time & the slow speed of your walking.

I highly recommend this game & if you're a PS:Plus subscriber, you'd be crazy not to try it now.

LeftSideCut (3778 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of The Park in Video Games

The Park
The Park
2015 | Horror
Not the worst way to spend a couple of hours
In The Park, you play as a mother searching for your son inside an abandoned amusement park - a pretty straightforward plot for a horror game.
Being more of a psychological horror game, things are of course not actually that simple....

You play The Park from a first person perspective, whilst you (so very slowly) explore the park, uncovering the backstory of both your character, and the park itself , through notes and clues found littered throughout.
There is zero combat in this, so the focus is solely on the narrative, and the exploration element.
There's a subtle sense of unease throughout the games short runtime, and it does a pretty good job of creating a creepy atmosphere, and uses some pretty trippy and sometimes disturbing imagery to put you on edge.

The Park is low on actual scares (I recall jumping once throughout) and the plotline never makes it clear what is real and what is in your head - which wouldn't usually be an issue, however the ending is left open to discussion and interpretation, to the point that it ends on a rather unsatisfying note.

Overall, certainly worth a play through if you enjoy anything remotely horror related, but I'm glad I picked it up dirt cheap in a PlayStation Store sale!

Netflix is a great application for watching movies, dramas, documentaries etc. The app allows you to have multiple accounts so that friends and family can use their own account to add movies etc to their list to watch and keep a track of what they are watching, without interfering with what you are watching. The app allows you to use Netflix also on multiple devices such as an iPad, Playstation, Laptop etc, which makes for easy viewing on the go. The ap does however require internet connection for viewing. There is a lot of choice, with Netflix series becoming more popular and well-made. The downfall would be that well-loved titles are often removed, for example such as 'Home Alone' being removed at the most popular time (Christmas Holidays), or the Grinch. These movies are often removed at peak times, so that viewers often have to pay for the movies elsewhere. It makes you wonder why you're paying subscription fees, if titles like these are removed just as you want to watch them! Also I've noticed a recent increase in the subscription fees, which is a shame, especially as more and more similar and competing apps are becoming more popular, such as Amazon prime (which offers the very latest, more choice - especially with series).

Quality of Remaster
Repetitive (4 more)
Short
Range of Weapons
Clichéd Storyline
Range of enemies
Short, clichéd and repetitive.
This one is especially difficult for me because I'm a bit of a superfan of the game's director, the legendary Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Dino Crisis etc.).

But this game was probably one of the shortest game's I've ever played, which is a ble ssing in a way as every mission is exactly the same. Each level basically has two objectives, which are:
1. Destroy all enemies.
2. Reach the destination.
That is literally it, absolutely nothing to make you think, just constantly shooting down an incredibly small variety of enemies, with an equally small variety of weapons.

The storyline itself is also very basic. Futuristic, typical Russian antagonist, typical chain-smoking macho protagonist, predictable twists at the end.

But every game does have it's positives. The quality of the PlayStation 4 remaster is outstanding, and feels like a new PS4 game. The design of everything in the game is also excellent, although the characters themselves are pretty run-of-the-mill, their designs are somewhat unique and look great. The same can be said for the design of the the map and scenery.

Overall, a great looking game, that's let down terribly by the gameplay.

Sorry, Shinji, still love you!
