"“What I’ve really got to learn is to accept the mediocrity and the lies that surround me. The poor political responsibility of those around me.” Valie Export is one of my favourite artists and celebrated her 80th birthday quite recently. The film follows an investigative female journalist trying to bring justice to the corrupt world she finds herself in through two oscillating relationships. The heroine is in pursuit for nothing but the truth. Video control and surveillance in striptease places, subway stations and street traffic are important for the structure of the film. At large, the experimental plot interrogates the body, identity, and dynamics of power, it questions the overwhelming social gazes placed on women. One day I would like to remake the film."

I went into Regretting You blind, as I do with most of Colleen's books - I definitely don't regret it. While I confess to being super nosy and curious about the letters and what questions they could have answered, I have read Colleen's explanation, I can say I respect her reasoning. I also want to say that I loved how she explored the relationship between mother and daughter, I don't think that's a typical topic. I loved Jonah and Miller, they were both so great in their own ways! I was afraid of this book being a cliché, but Colleen is too good at her job, because none of it felt like any other storyline I've ever read. What a great way to start out 2020!

Karin broke my heart with this one. From beginning to end, so many questions about Will, his past, his parents, were finally answered. We learn a little more about Amanda, from back in the '70s. We're taken through the events that led up to Will's birth and his mother's demise. By the end, I was fighting tears. Criminal is, without a doubt, the most emotional Will Trent book I've read thus far. Now that the past has been settled, it's time to focus on the present: Is Will going to nurture his new relationship with Sara or will Angie's latest act bring him back to her? This is one love triangle I honestly can't wait to end, but I'm still excited to see what happens next.

First things first: What was in the box?!?!

And then on to the rest: Leah was never my favourite person and she still isnt after reading this. Okay, so we understand better why she is the way she is but i still dont like her. I have a few questions after reading this that i hope will be answered in

I only hope that in the end that Olivia and Caleb get back together because come on: it's only ever been Olivia for Caleb and Caleb for Olivia.

I'll be waiting (rather impatiently :P) for Caleb's point of view to be released so i can devour it and see what he says to Leah about that bombshell of an ending!
