I love Alessandra Torre. I haven't read anything by her that I haven't immediately fallen in love with; Tight is another book of hers, albiet different, that I really enjoyed. She stresses in the begnning that it's very different than her other books and, honestly, it wasn't nearly as dark as I've seen some stories go, so nothing bothered me about it. I was intruiged about the "banned book" she based Tight from, though. I'm not scared of reading the same stories where the relationship between the kidnapped and kidnapper becomes romanticized - I've read several and, while I realize that isn't real life, I enjoy them. While Alessandra's book isn't that, I still loved it. There were so many questions and assumptions, twists and surprises. I was shocked by a lot of the revelations in this book and I love that. Alessandra Torre can do no wrong in my eyes!

I finished this a little after midnight last night and am once again compelled to give this 5 stars.

This one was a lot happier than the first, they actually have a proper relationship, not the sneaking behind everyone's back kind of thing they had going on in the first. I am a little confused though as to whether their stories been concluded with this. I know there's a third book coming soon, Braille, but does it continue with Alex and Jesse or does it focus more on the band members?

I have so many questions after reading this too. What was wrong with Cord? Who was the girl? Who's Beth seeing?

Anyway, I'm glad that everything's out in the open regarding Ethan and Alex's parents abandonment. I still have no idea why they ran off and left her behind anyway, especially her dad. Her mum at least has an excuse.

Jimmy Fallon recommended Airplane! (1980) in Movies (curated)

Airplane! (1980)
Airplane! (1980)
1980 | Comedy

"This was spoofing these airport movies that were big in the ’70s. When you watch, there are so many quotable scenes, but one is [where] there’s a little boy who comes up to the cockpit of the airplane, and Peter Graves is the pilot, and he goes, “You ever been in a cockpit before, Joey?” And he goes, “No, sir, I’ve never been on a plane before.” He goes, “You ever seen a grown man naked?” And the kid acts perfectly, acts like he didn’t hear what he said, really, and then the questions get crazier. He’s like, “Joey, you ever been in a Turkish prison?” Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the copilot. It is just so well-acted. There are so many jokes – it is jam-packed with jokes. You won’t ever forget Airplane!; [it’s] one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen in my life."
