Better than people say
This film gets a bad rap. It kept me entertained. I did think it could of been better but was slightly ruined by studio interference

Brilliant rap album, including some of Eminem's best songs - The Way I Am, The Real Slim Shady and the superb emotional Stan.

"I had a group of friends who were all into rap, and we’d drive around and listen to jazzy, laid-back East Coast hip hop. If you didn’t go into New York it was boring, so we’d spend endless time driving in my friend’s car listening to Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest or De La Soul. I wrote an article for my high school newspaper about the hidden links between punk and rap."

Iconic album
Featuring the huge hit Insane in the brain. My favourite track is actually Lick a shot. The mix of fast beats, deep bass and aggressive vocals with lyrics you can clearly make out make this one of the best rap albums around. The similar themes of the tracks also mean they blend together perfectly from one track to the next. If you like Rap with deep bass you have to get this album. It's a classic.

"Whether you think Chief Keef is the future of rap or you think his lyrics are too violent, either way he was certainly born in the Nineties. As soon as you hear his delivery, you never forget it."

"They’re a little known hip-hop crew, descended to earth from a magical realm. They delivered some of the most hardcore, gangster rap rhymes I’ve ever heard. Channeling Dre, channeling Nate Dogg, channeling Mystikal, channeling all of my heroes"

Rolling Stone's 228th greatest album of all time
Decent early rap album. Very heavy on the scratching and sampling, to its credit. Typical themes of earning money and getting paid (preferably in full) make it a dull album lyrically.

Superb rap album, in my opinion better than NWA. Much more political and opinionated rather than the simpler lyrical themes of NWA. Bring the Noise and Don't Believe the Hype are simply awesome.
