The Outlaws Daughter is the third book in the Haywire Brides Series by Margaret Brownley. It can be read as a standalone (I haven’t read the other in this series yet and got along just fine), I will be going back and reading the rest of the books in this series though.
I loved Texas Ranger Matt Taggert in this book! His balance between doing his job and his feelings for Ellie-May was interesting to see. I thought that there was good chemistry between the two main characters and that Matt showed respect for everyone involved. Ellie-May is a great southern Momma (at night when she hears a noise, her first thought is to reach for her shotgun under her pillow!), she is a well-behaved lady who takes care of those around her, and she loves her kids. She is someone I would love to meet in real life. The plot of this story was interesting, it had fast-paced scenes and slower-paced scenes, and I liked the western feel to the town. It kept me engaged throughout the story. I liked the small town where everyone knew everyone, which is not always a good thing, but it was cool to see the town interact with the characters.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the fun characters, the cool western town, and the storyline

After reading this book all my head wants to say is WOW...
I have not previously read any books by Roseanna M. White and I am now scratching my head wondering how I could have missed her? This book On Wings of Devotion is actually the second book in her Codebreaker series. However, I was not lost at all just jumping into this one (I will definitely be going back and reading the first one though).
The character interactions in this book are the best I have read in a while. They banter back and forth so much, and you just can’t help but smile or laugh, through it all. They did have their ups and downs, but I was amazed by Ara’s absolute faith in the face of everything that happened. Yes, she had doubts but they never lasted for long. That is what I personally strive to do even though it doesn’t always work out as well as in this book. Camden was also a great character who I enjoyed getting to know. He was the picture of a flamboyant flyboy with a teddy bear heart underneath. So much mystery surrounds him, and we get fed little bits of his true character throughout the book. It was like getting to know someone in real life, you slowly get to know them over time.

Restored my belief in the power of movies, one of the most fulfilling cinematic experiences I've ever had and probably will ever have in my lifetime. Not trying to undersell how structureless this is, but it gets a free pass for how rigorously committed to the mindfuck it is - it just wouldn't have worked out even a fraction as well with any sort of form. I spent the better part of this with my jaw frozen in the dropped position, it's been so long since I've truly been blown away and couldn't believe what I was watching actually got made. Part personal, quasi-documentary character study of a real life actress; part actually good "Black Mirror" episode about the evolution of idolization; part 50s cartoon nightmare; part acid trip; part "holy shit my tears are crying" drama. Can't even begin to justifiably describe how good this film looks in words, essential viewing - can only be believed by first having seen. Robin Wright and Harvey Keitel give megaperformances to match the boundless ambition - 𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘈𝘵𝘭𝘢𝘴 can't even compare. A nebulous, meditative, and bracingly surreal slideshow of future-fantasy and riffs on what the future could bring with a refreshing lack of pretention and cynicism for once (though I'm sure I stand alone in thinking that) that's never anything less than beautiful. Never wanted to let go, never has some variation of "your past is dead" been said so despondently. And what a fucking A-class score.

NBA 2K21 plays very smoothly, no silly glitches that I came across.
The load time is a bit long but that’s expected for what you have as features and memory.
The career mode is very detailed and fun to follow, so much going on. It’s a NBA fans dream.
The roster detail and updates are impeccable.
My team mode is just an awesome call back to my favorite eras of the NBA and having never branched out to other modes on previous years, this would be a tragic short selling of the game
You can make as in depth as you want or just simple game or season, it’s an incredible experience.
The setting and controlling your experience options are so easy to navigate including the In game menus which offers real life adjustments…
My league mode, my personal favorite has My GM you create your executive and manage the franchise in absolutely every aspect including managing player morale and chemistry. Including guys wanting to chat with the GM about their playing time. Down to an owner wanting results financially and on the court . I could go on forever about the details, the ease of navigation, the familiarity with control settings from previous copies. I can say this is the first year I’ve explored more because there is so much more.
I’m going to sign on for an online league here soon.

Have the exact same opinion from when I first saw it, it's fun and has its share of scary moments but holy hell is it also exhausting and conventional. Very handsomely made with a lot of visual personality (it's impossible for Wan to make a bad film simply because of how damn good they look) but otherwise short on nuance and running about fifteen minutes too lengthy. I mean this was practically made for normies to love but otherwise in terms of its acclaim even at the time, I don't really get it? I can't stress enough how much this did for modern horror as we know it and I of course applaud it for that, but I think most people were just shocked that a high-grossing studio horror movie could be shot and acted well back then imo. Putting aside the fact that they're real-life bullshit artists, the Warrens depicted here are just about as bland as can be - for me this whole affair just doesn't have the verve or the flavor of Wan's 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴. His playfulness and the entire cast's conviction help ultimately sell this for me even in spite of its austerity; the moments when this feels like a rustic haunted house joyride make it work but the rest it of mostly *strains* man come on this shit is so beyond familiar territory even by this point. Fine, but could have been better.
