Good and bad
The Walking Dead has gone in an odd direction in the last series and this. I wasn't a fan of the big time jump last series and we have a lot of back and forth in the time line this series. The return of Maggie at long last goes by barely unnoticed, with no real explanation of where she has been during all this time. It carries on like she has never been away. There are a few episodes towards the end that feature mainly on just one or two characters, mainly due to covid filming. A couple of these episodes weren't great. The one truly saving feature of the season was an origin story of Negan. This was one of the best episodes for many series starring opposite his wife in real life playing Lucille. So a real mixed bag, some great individual episodes but overall as a whole it feels a bit disconnected and disappointing. Hope the extended final series is better.

I really enjoyed [Broken Realms(The Chronicles of Mara Lantern, Book1)] by [D.W. Moneypenny]. The combination of a real life disasters causing a crossover of dimensions was great. The character of Mara was intelligent and a little on the snarky side. The plot was very character centered and that drove the action. Sometimes there may have been too much detail of events but that was only a speed bump and nothing to really detract from the quality of the book.

A modern day 'In Cold Blood'
This is a pretty incredibly written book about a real life murder investigation coinciding with the author's own harrowing experiences. While true crime is now a hot genre, Alexandria Marzano-Lesnevich has weaved together a humane story, a backdrop of how this horrifying crime occurred not dissimilar to how Truman Capote wrote In Cold Blood. However, her own horrific story parallels the investigation giving the entire novel a whole new dimension. Recommended read indeed.

With careful and outstanding illustrations that give a weight to the setting and characters, this story of a Belgian journalist gives the story of Afghanistan from a non-US point of view. The encroaching of the Taliban at the withdrawal of the western forces echoes books like Malala's biography and show how little was really accomplished. As a way to bring this real-life tragedy to a different readership is a needed thing, well done to the writers and artist.

You're beautiful.
I watched this when it was first aired and I thought it was fantastic. It battles real life problems and something any girl/woman can relate to.
It makes you laugh, cry, hate, love and just about everything else. All the characters have been casted Brilliantly but I will say that Rae is acted absolutely perfectly, Sharon Rooney is such a terrific actress and she makes the show a must watch.
It's gripping, heartbreaking, soul warming and definitely recommended.

READ THE SILENT CORNER FIRST!!!

This book picked up right where the first left off. Jane Hawk is a smart, bad ass heroine. She astonished me at every move. The situation she has put herself in is quite a difficult one. The technological intrigue makes you wonder what is real and what is not in my own life. Who can really track us and to what extent. Human nanotechnology? This book really caught my attention and I can't wait for the next one!!

Fuzzy completeness
I couldn’t be more gutted that this series is over. Has anyone else finished wanting more, more, more? I loved this third instalment for the curve balls of life and how Lara Jean and Peter dealt or didn’t deal with them. The dynamic between these two isn’t utopian, it’s real and how I love them for that. I think they will be a favourite couple forever for me. There really isn’t much more to say than that.

Drops ?

I love this book it grabbed my on the first pages. I can't for the sequel if there is going to more of penny and noah.
I love how the characters interact with each other and how there is real life situation like cyber bulling and bullying at school. I like how Penny as been suffering with panic attack and how she copes through it this will be good to help people through their lives.
