Not quite a treasure
I wasn't a big fan of the original films, slightly preferred the 2nd film. This is quite a good reboot film as Lara starts her journey as a Tomb Raider. It has some good action scenes and some puzzle scenes, not that many the viewer could try to solve though.
The main down side is it felt a bit like too many other films. Part Indiana Jones and the last crusade, National Treasure to name a couple of films with a similar plot. Overall it's an enjoyable action film and a good footing for the next film.

The only reason I read Volume 2 is because I felt guilty for not reading all of my library books. Again, skews to the younger demographic. It also pulls from the 'Captain America: Hydra-Agent' mess that I can't even acknowledge to be valid. I haven't read it.... and I was kind of pissed that he killed Natasha (spoiler alert?).
After this volume... I can't wait until they reboot Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in January and give her character back to Kelly Thompson.
The last issue of the volume was the best, mostly because Carol's back on Earth with her friends and only gets emo at the end.

Yet another reboot of Child's Play. I'm not sure we need another Chucky film to be honest but at least this had some new ideas. Set present day the Buddi doll can interact with a mobile app and other smart devices. This at least does allow for some fun plot elements and variety in kills. So it does differ in some ways from the original. The biggest problem is the look of Chucky. Not cute enough to be believable as a toy and not creepy enough to be scary. It's not bad as a Slasher film but nothing particularly memorable.

Who u gonna call
Finally a ghostbusters sequel that's worthy of the name after the all female reboot which doesn't get mentioned here thank god we finally get a proper sequel thats faithful to the orignal which I remember seeing when I was 15 years old. excellent script good casting and of course the return of the orignal busters of course older but still got it . But for me the standout star goes to mckenna grace who steals the movie from the adults who shines thru star of the future. Overall Brilliant sequel so who u gonna call ghostbusters also stay for the end credits

In a fandom littered with reboot after reboot, with the current ones no better than the previous 4-5 before it, I took it upon myself to finally read Morrison's much-praised mid-1980's reboot of the Doom Patrol. I did not read it when it came out originally, but I remember seeing it. At the time, I was very much about the "flashy" superhero books of 80's: the X-Men (which I will still argue were better than ANYTHING that is currently being written about them!), Wildstorm's 'Gen13' and 'WildC.A.T.s', etc. Mind you, I was also very much into 'Sandman' and "Shade the Changing Man', both of which were part of the still-in-its-infancy stage Vertigo imprint from DC Comics. Weird, right, that I skipped over 'Doom Patrol'. Not sure why I did, but I did.

Now, to the present..

Having read the first volume, which is out-of-print (like so much of DC's pre-"New 52" stuff!), I can safely say I understand all the love that the series has earned! This is mind-blowing stuff, and it's only the first 6 issues!

The book boasts a dark, moody theme at times, but it is more part of the story than about trying to "be something" like many books today try to be. The characters are well-rounded, each having a uniquely interesting personality. There are returning characters, like Robotman, and the team's leader Niles Caulder, but there are also some real creative gems like Crazy Jane, with her 64 personalities and so much more going on in her!

The cool thing about 'Doom Patrol' is it can be recommended to anyone who says they don't like comics because of the costumes, etc. DP is not about costumes, superheroes or anything like that. If it were to be compared to anyting, I would say I got a 'Fringe' (the FOX/J.J. Abrams TV series) feeling when I was reading it.

There are 5 more volumes to tackle, but I shall savor each one, as if it were a fine wine!

Was great just not as good as the last
Homecoming was so much fun that, in a way, "Far From Home" had an almost impossible task. In the 10000000th reboot of the comic hero favourite, Marvel got it spot on, having this Spiderman be a geeky kid on a journey of self discovery, awkward in his neediness and unsure of his capabilities. Its created a vulnerable Spiderman that everyone can relate to and love and most importantly root for.

Far From Home is post 'Endgame' and sees Spidey thrown into the unwanted position of being one of the few Avengers around. Now he has to take on a ew threat where things are not all they seem to be but no spoilers here.

What lets this film down compared to its predecessor is there is a lack of surprises and character growth for Tom Holland to play with. However its still a lot of fun as we see him become night monkey and fight the forces of darkness once again, this time through various locations in Europe (I'm sure the writer just put some European cities on their wish list and wrote a movie around it just so they could stay).

Its still a lot of fun and loveable. I just want a little more but there is no way this franchise is stopping yet.

It ultimately compares unfavorably to movies like RIPD, which it actually resembles more than Ghostbusters
A waste of itself
Why couldn't they have just made the film a sequel About the granddaughters or something of the original cast? It needlessly tries to reboot the whole idea, and does so in the most tedious ways possible. Just to be clear, I wanted to love the movie, and was excited about the all female cast. But everyone really needs to realize at last that Paul Fieg isn't that great of a writer or a director. He was a bag choice, in movie full of bad choices.

Great reboot of a great franchise
As usual, when I first heard they were going to remake one of my all time favorite franchises, I was very concerned especially after the weird Tim Burton version.

I could not have been more wrong. The entire tone of the film was magnificent and very much in line with the intent of the original series. There were many homages to the earlier films, but also plenty of new stuff including the amazing CGI work animating the Apes and giving them personality.

The ending sequence on the bridge was also spectacular and set up the transition to the next film quite well.

Let The Cars Hit The Floor Reboot
Twisted Metal- not to be confused with "Twisted Metal" is a ps3 vehicle combat. This game serves as a reboot to the franchise.

Gameplay: The game focuses heavily on multiplayer combat, including various online game modes with up to 4 player split-screen and 16-players online (the online gameplay was discontinued in early 2019). For example, the Nuke Mode is a new online game mode where the players choose a faction to play against an opposing faction. In this mode, each faction has a giant metal statue that is being held in the air by a helicopter, which the opposing team must try to destroy. In order to destroy these statues, the player must abduct the enemy team's leader, then sacrifice the leader to a missile launcher that will, in turn, launch a nuclear missile.

The person who sacrifices the leader and launches the missile has to control it to hit the opposing teams statue in the air. In order to win the opposing team has to repeat the process 3 times before the statue is destroyed for a team to win. There are four factions: the Clowns, the Dolls, the Skulls, and the Holy Men. The former having been announced as being inspired by Sweet Tooth and Dollface. The latter are led by Mr. Grimm and the Preacher respectively.

unfortunately this was the last game released in the main series. No new game has been released since 2012. I need my "Twisted Metal".

A great game and a excellent franchise.
