Unfortunately, Final Destination 3 was an absolute disaster. What’s even more of a shame was that the incredibly talented Mary Elizabeth Winstead had to suffer through such an ordeal.

Moving away from the series’ horror roots and opting for a campy, horror-comedy vibe doesn’t sit well and the tasteless reference to 9/11 only sours the film further.

The main disaster, a rollercoaster accident, is reasonably inventive but lacks the exceptional practical effects that made the motorway pile-up in Final Destination 2 so deliciously enjoyable to watch.

Existential Sci Fi at it's best.

A modern classic, everyone should see this once, and decide for themselves: the Red Pill or the Blue Pill.... a little bit of Trivia: All of the references to street corners (for example, Wells and Lake) are real intersections in Chicago, Illinois, The Wachowskis' hometown. The subway train has signs for "Loop," another Chicago reference.

Chicago is my hometown, and the best city in America.... but I'm Biased.

Eh. I don't know that I'll read any more of this series. I found it far too frustrating to wait for the supposedly intelligent lead character to catch up to the killer's very obvious clues. The identity of the murderer seemed plain to me from the moment he was introduced, yet all the other characters were oblivious. And for a "mystery by the numbers" there were very few numbers - I would have thought that at least one little puzzle would have been included for the reader, but there wasn't so much as a reference to Sudoku to be found.
