Wow!

I think I fell in love with this series about half way through the book and I cant wait to start book two.

The chemistry between Elena and Raphael was smoking hot and I was loving reading their relationship unfold while trying to track down the bad guy.

I almost cried too, near the end when Raphael was cradling her in his arms, had to take deep breaths and blink rapidly lol, I don't think he realises just quite how good he is.

I'm pretty sure this took place before the Steel and Stone series? But if so, i dont remember our envoy being mentioned in it, but i could be wrong as i think i was pretty much only really interested in Ash and Piper's relationship.

Never the less, i did enjoy reading more of Lyre--and Ash made a few appearances--as he was always an intriguing character with his amazing spell weaving.

I look forward to reading the rest of this trilogy very soon.

I was put off at the beginning with how the story started in some sort of orgy but the more I read the more I enjoyed it. It was not an erotica driven story. Its actually quite fun and witty with some slow going relationship progression but the camaraderie between the five of them was great.

With how this book ended, I just had to go get book 2 because I need to know that they're going to survive and have more witty conversations :-)

"I just love that movie so much. It’s just so well-written. It’s so funny and tragic at the same time. I just feel like it’s so poignant about marriage — I mean, not that I know from experience. [laughs] I’ve never been married. But I really love the dialogue and the questions it asks. I feel like it’s so revealing and human, in terms of, anybody that’s been in a relationship for a really long time, whether you get married or not, the issues we all face."

"I think I’ve seen it five times in the past two months. I can’t stop watching that picture. The way they edited that — the dramatic scenes have as much musicality as the dance numbers, but it’s completely naturalistic. A man facing his own death; he’s creating his own end. He’s riffing on Lenny Bruce, riffing on his own material, his need to connect, his love of women, and his own mortality and relationship to family. It’s a staggering film. It’s Bob Fosse’s “See ya, and goodnight.”"

Kerri has done it again! Something about her writing is so addictive, I hated interrupting my reading time for work. I think I liked Hunting Prince Dracula more than I liked Stalking Jack the Ripper, which is great, because sometimes a series tends to go downhill instead of getting better. Honestly, I'm not sure which I'm enjoying more: solving mysteries with Miss Audrey Rose or watching her relationship with Thomas unfold, at an infuriatingly slow pace. I look forward to seeing what's in store for these two!

Crawl (2019)
Crawl (2019)
2019 | Horror, Thriller
Crawl is absolutely everything you could want from a Summer movie – the experience of watching it is like being on a theme park ride, it’s UNDER 90 minutes (praise be!) and refreshingly, it is not a sequel, a reboot or franchise fare. It’s actually a pretty taut (almost) two-hander that focuses on a father-daughter duo facing off against a giant alligator duo (relationship unknown) in the flooded basement of a Florida home during a hurricane.

I don't quite get all the hatred for this film. It's not brilliant by any means and is a bit draggy at times but I was still entertained enough to want to see how it ended. Blake Lively looking as unglamorous and as a far away from 'Gossip Girl' as can possibly be puts in a very good performance in the lead role and I liked her relationship with Jude Law. Overall it's not bad but I probably wouldn't be in a hurry to watch it again.
