Alice Vega is a basically professional head hunter and, when hired to find two young girls who vanished from a Kmart parking lot, enlists the help of a local retired cop turned private investigator, Max Caplan or “Cap”.
The POV goes back and forth between Alice and Cap, which I really enjoyed. Alice is sort of mysterious and keeps a cool head, not showing many emotions to others, but the reader gets to feel what she’s really feeling. Though divorced, Cap is a family man and I loved his relationship with his daughter. Both were determined to find these girls and would do whatever it took. There was also a little romantic tension between Cap and Vega, but then at the end nothing came of it, which was pretty disappointing. Overall a good read!

Disappointing
I was excited for this one,it had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, but it let me down.
I really enjoyed the world building and character development in as far as it was taken, but I would have liked more depth and backstory on both Jane and Kate as well as Jane and Red Jacks relationship BEFORE as well as more history on the zombies themselves. There is a brief mention of them rising up at Gettysburg and buy few details as to the why and how. Lily seemed centrifugal to the story initially but felt like an after thought overall. Also the story was very slow to start but was totally rushed at the end. As soon as it began to get interesting it ended.

Wow this book was amazing. A real page turner. A must read.
If you start reading this book make sure you have plenty of time available, you will not want to put this book down. I know I didn't.

Reflection
How do we know if someone lying? Well we don't really at the end of the day, we don't really want to know if someone we love is lying to us. Once we know someone is lying would that relationship ever be the same again? Probably not.
If you start reading this book make sure you have plenty of time available, you will not want to put this book down. I know I didn't.

This was a wonderful book! Ever since Wren was introduced I had been eagerly anticipating his addition (along with many more who we haven't heard from yet! grr! :P), and I was not disappointed! I really enjoyed the relationship between Wren and Maggie; their story was sweet and spicy. I did miss some of the Dark-Hunter aspects, especially Simi and Ash, but it's nice to have a break from the DH storyline every now and then. Especially when Ms. Kenyon has barely broken into the Were-Hunter part of her world. Anyway, as I said before (well, sorta), Wren and Maggie were great and in a way, they seemed more realistic than some of the other couples, more-so with Maggie. Another awesome book in this thrilling series! :)

While browsing the graphic novel/comic section of my library, I noticed this title, glanced at the synopsis and opened to a random place in order to see if I liked the art enough to check it out. Well, yes I did. The artwork is gorgeous, both simple and elegant and perfectly captures the 1920's setting. The dialogue is sparse, but the illustrations speak more than enough for the story. My only complaints are that there are a couple spots that I felt could be expanded, especially in regards to the relationship between Snow and "the Seven". I don't know if there was supposed to be more time passing but it felt like they just met and then *bam* they're one family. Otherwise, is was a lovely read.

This books cover makes it seem like there a lot of characters. In fact it is mostly just the two main women and their love story. There are different characters who have background voices but they aren't a focus. Some come in and leave by the next page.
While I enjoyed the complex world building and the different interactions this wasn't what I was expecting. Most of the story focused on the love side. The growth of a love story instead of a fantasy story. The F/F relationship was adorable and we'll thought out but took over what I think was supposed to be a fantasy book with a side of romance.
I would highly recommend this to any readers who enjoy romance in a different world. For fans of Ashley Poston.

1. we have our own strengths. my husband would be furious if i knew how to get us un-lost and i didn't say anything.
2. maybe the problem is with FEELING and ACTING superior. instead of being completely silent and resenting his mistakes, ask him WHY he decided to do something the way he did. maybe it will turn out his way was better.
i honestly couldn't finish reading this. i don't know what kind of feminist this woman thinks she is but it's not the kind i relate to. this would be a good book for someone who has HUGE control and power issues but if you're just trying to tweak your marriage and relationship you'd do better somewhere else.

This is another book recommendation I got from a book chat. I am loving those since it is helping find amazing books like this. Cam is a main character that you really want to see everything work out for because she is just authenic. Of course some things are not realistic but it is fiction and I guess some people get that lucky. The relationship,although it is the soul mate thing, develops nicely. They even have road bumps(or more like potholes into Narnia). This is where the secondary characters come in to help fix things. I like that the secondary characters are not fluff but played a role is directing the plot but aren't overbearing. I definately will read more in this series. It is binge worthy.

Historically-inspired Hammer horror; not actually part of its main Dracula series, but the title helped the box office, I guess. Ageing Hungarian noblewoman discovers she can restore her youth by bathing in virgin blood, takes a shine to a young soldier, decides to impersonate her own daughter in order to woo him (as you would). Meanwhile life for the domestic staff around the castle becomes unexpectedly more hazardous.
Restrained and thoughtful horror movie; a bit less garish and gory than you might think. Interesting subtext about the relationship between the young and the old, and fear of ageing. Driven along by a terrific performance from Ingrid Pitt (Pitt thought there should have been more blood in the movie). Runs out of things to do slightly before the end, but still a classy movie.

Going Places by Kathryn Beria
Four Stars
This story is about a teenage boy trying to find himself. Hudson was going places according to his teacher. When life throws off Hudson balance he seems to stop wanting to go places. School became unnecessary and helping others a priority. I’m not a boy so I don’t completely understand what he was going through. But I did understand not knowing what your future would hold and not finding confidence within yourself. His relationship with Fritzy was hilarious and true. She did give him sweet words or half truths. I didn’t like Love all that much. Overall the author did good and I was excited to be in the mind of a more realistic teenage boy on the journey of maturity.
