Not as scary as blurb suggests
Creepy but over described
I enjoyed this book overall, the blurb makes the villain seem a lot more threatening than he actually is, not that there aren't some gross parts. The plot was interesting and I like how it dealt with a unique disease.
The scene was set quite well early on but I think more could have been done to elicit this throughout the book.
I liked the main detective and the psychologist, I could see a sequel in the future with the usual love hate relationship emerging between them.
There were a few instances where the story was a little unbelievable, particularly around the flooring scene. Plus some of the facts of the case are happened upon and theories are very much close to the truth.

The beginning put me off a bit--when they are killing all the people to claim the planet, and Fourteen's sudden change in behaviour...but fast forward to him landing at the new location and meeting Connell and I liked it.
It might have been Fourteen's learning to speak out loud after all the conversation being done mentally or his protectiveness of the baby, but he really grew on me.
I thought the relationship between him and Connell was really cute, especially the:
"Why do they do that with their lips?"
You'll know what I'm talking about when you get there.

However I'm not sure if I liked the end with the aging of the characters, especially with how short it is. I know it had to end somehow but I wasn't a fan.

Huh...well I enjoyed the first book in the series more, it had a more compelling storyline for me (4.5 star worthy!). This, I kinda had to read to see if Katya got her HEA after the events of the last book but it all got a little twisted for me.
There was so much sex in this compared to the last and for me, and I think for the story too, it was unnecessary. Everyone was with everyone (or it seemed like it anyway).
I was only really interested in the relationship between Ezra and Katya (and Cortez, I guess, though not as desperately as the first two) and a lot more than that happened. Weddings, fights, sex...
If this is the sort of thing that's going to continue throughout the rest of the series, then I'm not sure I'm interested.

This series is so good. This slowly expanding group of friends and lovers are so close, so tight knit, so amazingly protective of each other. I love it!
Snow was a little bit of a mystery after the first one and i wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy his story but wow. It blew me away. I love his relationship with Jude, how much he softened in general when he was around, he was no longer the destructive guy from the first book. The connection between them was mindblowing.
I could have cried for Rowe in this. The blow he received at the beginning was heartbreaking. It affected them all but poor lovely Rowe...the next book is his and i hope the authors have figured out a brilliant way of writing his story. Off to start it now.

So I'm currently working through my backlog of Kindle books. Ones that have been on my Kindle for 6 or 7 years and this one was the latest.
2.5 stars
It started quite good and I was enjoying the relationship between Hunter and our girl but my interest started to waver a little after the middle when Hunter kept getting annoyed at being unable to tell her the truth for the thousandth time. I was growling at my Kindle, saying, what are you hiding?!
Admittedly, it did take me a little by surprise but not enough.
And then in relation to a certain boy. I figured it was you from about half way through, probably about the time my interest started to wander, with all your glaring and huffing and general moodiness. A bit too obvious.
