Boogeyman Booty Call
By Harpie Alexa
⭐️⭐️
Creatures of the night deserve a little romance too!
She was just a human, but she was everything to him.
When an ad for Monster Match pops up on his phone, Gary the Boogeyman is intrigued, that is until the wretched programming takes over his device completely. So he fills out a profile.
All signed up and receiving DMs, Gary has no choice but to go on at least one date, but he's not looking for love or anything special. He's looking for a Bootycall and for his phone to stop acting up.
But what happens when the mystery woman is someone he knows? Someone he admires? Do humans even have big enough hearts to love creatures of the night? Demonic beings called... Boogeymen?
I’m not really sure what the hell I just read but omg did I laugh!! I just can’t get my head round it! I mean the Boogeyman and his weird ass relationship with this mother and child not forgetting his crazy housemate!! I can’t wash out my eyes 😂😂😂

A great story that left me wanting more!
WAYWARD STRIPPER is a short novella about a trans man on the run from his abusive ex, who lands a trial run at an Omega (Ladies) Club. The Head Dancer, Tristan, is on hand to help in any way and the sparks are instantaneous.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, but I wanted so much more! I would love for this to be a full-length novel, so I can get all the background information I want - the ex-relationship, Jake's escape, and more between Jake and Tristan. As a novella, it is fast-paced, but I would have loved more of the nitty-gritty that gives the story some depth. For me, it was a little too fast, with chunks either missed out or skipped over.
A great story that left me wanting! I would still recommend it though!

ClareR (6062 KP) rated Hello Beautiful in Books
May 9, 2023
Between finishing reading Hello Beautiful and writing this review, this book has exploded. Oprah has taken it under her wing and shown it as the wonderful piece of work that it is to her followers. So, it has already been read by a lot of people - and rightly so. I loved it. Books about families and family relationships, whether they’re a difficult or loving relationship, are one of my most favourite things.
There are most certainly echoes of Little Women, but if you’ve never read it, it won’t make much difference to your enjoyment. You might want to try Little Women at some point though!
William Waters grows up in a very dysfunctional family, and is drawn into the Padavano family when he marries Julia - it’s a family he comes to love.
With themes of mental illness, family loyalties, love in all of its forms and loss, it’s a big read for only around 400 pages. The story just sped by, and I was bereft when I turned the last page.
I loved the world of William Waters and the Padavano sisters.
Highly recommended.

The continuation of Lann and Kat's story starts two weeks after The Beginning ends. I would say that you don't need to have read that novella, but it certainly helped, and I wouldn't have wanted to read this without that, but that's just me.
This review may be short, as I don't give away spoilers. Kat and Lann's relationship isn't over, for a number of reasons. One thing they do have to do though, is make a decision about something. All I can say is what a terrible, horrible decision to have to make. The reactions and behaviour of those involved, and their friends, made it all the more believable.
Old enemies come into play, and the overall story arc moves along with fresh intrigue and twists. Old friends are shown in this book too, and I loved the friendship that comes into play between Kat, Clelia and Maya.
Best in the series so far for me, loved every word. Highly recommended.

Merissa (13749 KP) rated Amber Flame (Flame #4) in Books
May 20, 2023
This is the action-packed and emotion-filled story of Fergus and Mary, an Alpha Wolf and a Fae. Mary doesn't know anything about Fergus in 'real time', but they have been getting to know each other in the dreamglide since Fergus helped to rescue her a month previously. It starts with Fergus losing a Dominance battle and being left for dead, but quickly moves on to become an intriguing and suspenseful story, with more at stake than "just" a relationship.
Amber Flame is exceedingly well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I found, with a smooth pace that builds up to an eventful climax, both for our main male and female, but also for Savage itself. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this story, and now I'm hoping for Warren to get his story! So many great characters live in the Five Realms, and I want all of their stories! Definitely recommended.
