In all honesty this is the first book by J.A. Armstrong I picked up. It drew me in as a teacher but when I realized it was a spin off of the By Design series I put it aside and started that one. I read this one at the time it seemed to fit into the other series. I love the characters and how their relationship develops. Michelle and Melanie's relationship evolving from just friends to more just flowed. As with all of Armstrong's characters they all have flaws but that makes them real.

Amazing WWII story (2 more)
Full of suspense
Did not expect ending
Kristin Hannah has truly captured the chaotic and no-so-perfect sister relationship. Being the oldest of three girls I can relate to this love/hate relationship between the two sisters. How life can lead everyone in different roads but at the end family is the one thing that will always bring you back. No matter what happens family will disappoint, bring you down, and build you up, all at the same time. Cannot wait to read more books by this author.

I had this on my list for quite a while it seems like and it was a surprise how much I liked and enjoyed it.

My negative take from it was during the ending with some of the relationship scenes etc between the MC, Brianna and one of the fallen Lords.

The romance/relationship was a little too blah for me - not sure how to describe it. It just rubbed me the wrong way, but other than that, I loved it especially all the plot twists and everything.

I LOVED this film so much. The various plots, the cast, the whole story, it's magicness (?), everything. I loved Ian and Barley and their dynamic. I loved their relationship with their mom and the whole story. I've noticed some comments about the ending and that it was confusing but I disagree. I feel like they both got what they needed at the end and they were able to bring their relationship to a new level.

I think this is one of the best Pixar movies and I will probably watch it 12 times over.

If I'd realised that letters were going to be a big part of this story back in 2013/14 or whenever I downloaded this, I really wouldn't have bothered. I struggle to get into stories like that, and have only managed to finish 1 or 2 stories that have featured letters. I just feel like we miss out on a lot of vital relationship growth, though this did have normal everyday bits between letters. I just felt that time went so quickly and we weren't really getting anywhere fast in their relationship.

I'll admit that in this one my love of their relationship started to take second place to what was being revealed in this with Jahl, and what needed to happen. I still LOVE their relationship--mainly because they don't treat her like she's right all the time or have sex all the time or just let her get away with stupid stuff--but my attention was caught by where the last book is going to end up going and I hope like hell--pun intended--that they survive what's going to go down.
