HIS HOLIDAY FATE is part of the Christmas Omegas series and features Andrew and Dylan. Andrew has been hurt on Christmas Day in the past. To heal himself, he threw himself into work. Dylan is an omega with alpha traits. He is a businessman and an extrovert, he doesn't want to be a house-husband. No, he has his own things to do. It was so much fun when these two met!
This is a low angst, funny, warm, and spicy story about two people who, at first glance, may seem opposites, but in reality, have more in common than they realise. The biggest thing they have in common is that they both want the other to be happy and are willing to do things that might not necessarily be high on their list of things to do. I loved both of these characters equally, as well as the nicknames they had for each other!
This was a great seasonal read where I was rooting for the two from the get-go and loved being a part of their courtship/relationship. A brilliant read that I definitely recommend.

This is a low angst, funny, warm, and spicy story about two people who, at first glance, may seem opposites, but in reality, have more in common than they realise. The biggest thing they have in common is that they both want the other to be happy and are willing to do things that might not necessarily be high on their list of things to do. I loved both of these characters equally, as well as the nicknames they had for each other!

THE HEART OF EVERTON INN is the second book in the Betwixt the Sea and Shore series and it runs concurrently alongside book one. This means that you will see things through Adaira's eyes as they happen to Briony or any of the other villagers. You will also see things that happened with Adaira that you didn't see before.
This series is so well-researched, it shines through every scene. I love the village characters, the scenery, the relationships. It's all so clearly defined and makes for a gripping read.
Adaira and John have their ups and downs as they try to have a relationship but it seems as though the world is against them. Even though there is an age gap, it is clear that these two will fit together if only they are allowed.
This was a brilliant addition to the series but it does end on a cliffhanger, so just consider yourself forewarned. I can't wait to see what happens next. Definitely recommended by me.

This series is so well-researched, it shines through every scene. I love the village characters, the scenery, the relationships. It's all so clearly defined and makes for a gripping read.
Adaira and John have their ups and downs as they try to have a relationship but it seems as though the world is against them. Even though there is an age gap, it is clear that these two will fit together if only they are allowed.
This was a brilliant addition to the series but it does end on a cliffhanger, so just consider yourself forewarned. I can't wait to see what happens next. Definitely recommended by me.

Erisi is the most feared demon in the whole of hell. Her reputation precedes her, that is until they see her and then think how could she possibly be the most feared demon when she won't even turn into demon form. That is their mistake and she will make them pay. She will do whatever it takes to become head of Lucifer's guards to prove her worth. Well, almost anything.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait to read the next one. I found myself asking questions about why the characters are the way they are and what's happened as you are given snippets until they are ready to tell you so the question does get answered and it's horrific what both characters have been through. I enjoyed the growing relationship between all of the characters and how they become a family. The amount of detail in the battle scenes had me feeling a bit icky at times as you can almost see what is happening through the descriptions given.
I recommend you read this.

HEXES AND HIJINX is the second and final book in The Lost Witch series. You really need to read Book One as this one follows on from where that left off.
Theo and Fiona go from one thing straight to another. Her father is a piece of work and the thought of framing his daughter for the murders of a whole coven is nothing if it means he can escape.
Theo proves beyond any doubt that he means to stand by Fiona, no matter what! In return, Fiona is Theo's in all ways. Their combined grumpiness, spice and sass came through loud and clear, and I loved how the story flowed.
One thing for me was although Theo and Fiona's relationship moved forward, it almost felt as though it was on the back burner - which kind of makes sense considering what they were up against, but still. Personally, I would have liked a little more time with those two, rather than everyone else, but that's just me.
A great read and a brilliant finale to their story. I'm really hoping we return to this world. Definitely recommended by me.

ALPHA'S MOON is the first book in the Dirigo Pack series and what a start!!!
Sheridan is a hybrid - wolf father and witch mother, accepted by neither 'camp'. After her parents die, she is left alone in the world but survives. She doesn't trust easily, especially if they are in one of the two camps mentioned above. So what is she to do when her friend's brother says they are mates?
I loved this book! Although the instant mate connection was there, Kane and Sheridan worked their way through it, allowing their relationship to grow. I adored how Kane was determined to give Sheridan the space she needed, even going against his parents and the Pack to do so. It's easy to fall back on old habits, but Sheridan and Kane learn from them and move forward.
There's a bit of something for everyone here, with betrayal, mystery, and political machinations. I thought the whole story was bound together brilliantly, and I would LOVE to see more of Isaac.
An amazing start to the series and I can't wait for more. Absolutely recommended by me.

Murder is Anything but Groovy
It’s the weekend of the Bluebonnet Festival in Cedar River, Texas, and Juni Jessup and her sisters are looking forward to fun while also selling coffee and introducing the bands on the main stage. Their first customer of the first day is Mayor Bob. When Juni goes to drop something off at his office a little later, she finds him dead. With their reputations once again on the line, the sisters try to figure out what is happening. Mayor Bob was popular because he didn’t make any waves, so who would want to kill him?
After an initial strong start, the book stalled a bit introducing some sub-plots before it really got started again. I did guess the killer a little early, but I needed Juni to fill in most of the rest. Once again, there are some odd uses of they/them pronouns, and Juni’s first-person narration comes across as judgmental a few times. Overall, I do like her and I love her relationship with her sisters. The love triangle is still in play, although it takes a back seat to the rest of the happenings. There are lots of smiles and some laughs along the way as well. If you enjoy music and are looking for a fun mystery, this is the series for you.

THE LITTLE MORGEN is the second novella in the Fairytales of the Myth series, and in case you've not realised, this time it is the Little Mermaid that gets the dark retelling.
This one I didn't enjoy quite as much, and let me tell you why. There is just too much that goes on for the number of pages you get! This made the story feel a bit disjointed to me, the pace is slightly too quick. There were so many characters and I didn't really get a feel for any of them, including Thalliya and Ragnar. There was no time to build a connection between them, or for a relationship to develop. I also found the epilogue slightly confusing as I've only just read Burn Baby Burn and the names given for Bjerner's parents jolted me.
What I did enjoy was the amount of world-building Miranda Grant puts into every story. The details were amazing. One of my favourite parts was when Ragnar bit into an orange!
So, not one of my favourites, but still a great story if you like dark and twisted retellings.

This one I didn't enjoy quite as much, and let me tell you why. There is just too much that goes on for the number of pages you get! This made the story feel a bit disjointed to me, the pace is slightly too quick. There were so many characters and I didn't really get a feel for any of them, including Thalliya and Ragnar. There was no time to build a connection between them, or for a relationship to develop. I also found the epilogue slightly confusing as I've only just read Burn Baby Burn and the names given for Bjerner's parents jolted me.

SMART ASS is the second book in The SPARK Files and it is just as good as the first. It also covers the same (ish) time period, so I definitely recommend you read Book 1 before this one.
Now then, Smart Ass. We met Ben in Evan and Quincy's story, but now we really get to know him. Him and Max. What a couple they are! Max is what is known as a Knowledge - a Spark without a body. Max is nothing if not inventive though and manages to make things work as is, much to Ben's delight. I loved reading about how their relationship worked, and the questions they both had, whilst neither of them gave up on the other. That last message? Gah, killed me!
This is not as light and fluffy as Garbage was, but it's absolutely amazing in its own right! I love that it was different and I really REALLY can't wait to see what comes next. Garbage was the first book by this author I had read. Now, they are a One-Click Author!
I really can't recommend this highly enough! Sheer perfection.
