Limps along slowly
Oh dear, the description I read about this film stated it was about an "intense love affair". Sounded like it would be pretty good but sadly it wasn't. I was bored within ten minutes but hoped it would uptempo as it got going. It didn't. The film dragged along, i didn't feel any chemistry between the two leads and did not believe in their relationship.

The setting of a hospital emergency room is believable and leads me to think the author knows the environment. The characters were not shallow but not deeply developed it was almost to predictable. The dynamics of their relationship has the quirk of the attration being there but both fighting that for different reasons. Overall it was an enjoyable book. A nice quick read with some potential cold shower moments

Fantastic young-adult adventure
In this book you follow Torak, a young boy, who develops an incredible relationship with a wolf pup. Together they go on an amazing adventure. Full of twists and turns. The author is extremely good at descriptive writing, as you read this you can really picture the scenes. This took me 2 days to read, that's how good it is.

The final instalment in the How to Train Your Dragon series is a great culmination to the story. This movie will pull at your heartstrings and bring on the water works. The main villain is not the most captivating, but the dynamics of the relationship between toothless(the dragon) and Hiccup(his rider) is just captivating. Great fun for the family.

this was a well written book, the story line and characters made the story flow throughout the book. this is a heart breaking love story with exceptional scenes. the ending was good, as it shows that the art of communication is such an important factor within a relationship and that you can find away to make things work.

Ashley Catron (66 KP) rated Rebecca's Lost Journals, Volume 1: The Seduction (Inside Out, #1.1) in Books
Mar 14, 2018
While the "Lost Journals" are not needed to read the "Inside Out" series, they definitely add more depth and knowledge to everything that is going on in the series. It expands on Rebecca's relationship with Mark, the world he lives in, and her feelings for him and this world that he wants her to be a part of. It is amazing and something I was not able to put down easily.

Hmmm well it seems I'm in the minority but to call this a masterpiece is way off the mark for me. This was just a bit too surreal and odd. Based on a true crime in New Zealand in the 50's. It gets very strange later on as the relationship and madness intensifies! If you like wacky films or odd dramas you might love it, but it's not for me.

Warning: Book involves a highly inappropriate relationship between a developmentally disabled young man (who is effectively a young teen, and likely will be for the rest of his life) and a grown woman.
The squick factor got in the way of me enjoying the book as much as I usually do with Bishop. It was nice to encounter less-powerful people who aren't all gorgeous.

This was an incredible suspense/mystery with abit of sexual tension thrown in. The chemistry between the two main characters was really well developed as were the characters themselves. The complexity of their relationship had as many twists and turns as the plot. What makes a book great in this genre for me is not being able to predict what will happen and Hunter definately achieved that with this story.
