"I felt like it was the first dance film that accurately captured the essence of the relationships amongst the dancers, composer, director, and choreographer. I’ve seen it in the theater many times during special showings. It never gets old for me."

Honest Portrayal of Mental Health Issues
This book blew me away, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The way John Green portrayed mental health was brutally honest. It was hard to read at some points but it was refreshing not to have a YA book romanticize mental illness but instead to show it from all sides: the way it affects familial relationships; the way it affects friendships; the way it affects romantic relationships and how easy and scary it is when your thoughts spiral out of control.

I loved reading about Aza and how she navigates through her friendships, new relationships and dealing with OCD. I have so much respect for John Green after reading this. It was very well done, and the Star Wars references were an added bonus!

This was a very well written book. I loved how the story was told in a series of letters written to her friend who had moved away. The relationships that develop are great. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

This is a great podcast, and I can't wait for season two. It explores relationships and tension aboard an underwater research station in a believable and nuanced way. Also, the bottom of the ocean is scary af, especially when there's no way up.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is an adorable intro to Stephen Hawking. No, it does not go on nto detail about his personal relationships. It's a kid's book.

I got stuck on a level because I had managed to get myself locked in a dungeon I was too underlevelled for. Got bored and didn't feel like redoing it.

This is an interesting look at how young adults can spend a summer night, partying and trying to figure out relationships and life in general, it would work better as a television series as we could spend more time with the characters.

I don’t know what I expected from this book, but it exceeded my expectations. It was fascinating and Evaristo really shares a lot of herself: her triumphs, her failures, her good and bad relationships. She tells us about the lesbian relationships she had through her 20’s, and talks of her relationship and marriage with her husband. Her determination to run theatre companies with and for black women, telling black womens stories.
But it’s her perseverance that stays with me well after I’ve finished the book. She really didn’t give up, no matter the circumstances.
This is well worth reading.

Another fantastic random find. The characters are well developed and the relationships are complex all around. The story flowed really well. I love how the relationshp between the two main characters develops as a friendship first. I plan to read more by this author.
