In The Shadows
Darkman- is a dark twisted superhero movie directed by horror icon Sam Raimi. Its a excellent film as well.

The plot: When thugs employed by a crime boss lead a vicious assault on Dr. Peyton Wilder (Liam Neeson), leaving him literally and psychologically scarred, an emergency procedure allows him to survive. Upon his recovery, Wilder can find solace only by returning to his scientific work developing synthetic skin, and seeking revenge against the crime boss. He assumes a phantom avenger persona called Darkman, who, with malleable facial qualities, is able to infiltrate and sow terror in the criminal community.

Unable to secure the rights to either The Shadow or Batman, Raimi decided to create his own superhero and struck a deal with Universal Studios to make his first Hollywood studio film.

Initially, Raimi's longtime friend and collaborator Bruce Campbell was set to play Darkman, but the studio balked at the idea because they did not think Campbell could carry the role. Gary Oldman and Bill Paxton were also considered.

Sam had wanted to work with Frances McDormand but the studio resisted this notion and almost cast Julia Roberts before Pretty Woman made her a star. At one point, they wanted Demi Moore for the role. The director even tested Bridget Fonda but felt that she was too young for Neeson.

Its a excellent film.

My name is Terra, and I’m a Psychic. At times I wish I could control my visions; it would make tracking down the remaining nine escapees a lot simpler. That task just got a lot more urgent, as most of the psychos have blasted their way through a portal and are now wandering the streets of Seattle - one of them being a fire djinn intent on revenge following his brother’s recent recapture.

I’m heading after them with my hand-picked team of specialists; among them being my shifter partner who I’m more drawn to every day, and a lust demon who has her eyes set on him too - it’s going to be one hell of a bumpy ride. If we’re not careful, someone’s going to get burned, and with two worlds now on the line the stakes have never been higher.

I really fault these books, I love the writing, the characters and the storyline. Terra absolutely is the perfect female role. I’m still firmly in Kalebs corner of course there just so much tension! my stomach sank at the thought of losing Bernard that is just not an option!! Looking forward to book 5.

Who The Hell Is Rachel
Contains spoilers, click to show
So this movie excist. When did it come out you say? Did i come out close to the oringal film, you say? Well the answer is 1999!!!! And when did the oringal come out, oh 1976, yea 23 years later this movie came out. Did it have anybody from the first one, well actully yes it did, but not carrie herself, one of the supporting charcters. So what is this movie about then. Well....

The Plot: When her closest friend commits suicide after being manipulated by the popular crowd, quiet and bookish Rachel Lang (Emily Bergl) decides to get back at the guilty parties. Although Rachel falls for sensitive football player Jesse Ryan (Jason London), she remains determined to punish his callous friends. When Rachel discovers that she has superhuman abilities, it ups the stakes for her revenge, echoing a supernatural incident that occurred decades before.

And who do you say Rachel is and is she realted to anybody from the first movie, welll actaully yes.

This movie is bad, i mean really bad. Its awful. Im not sure why this movie came out 23 years later from the oringal and im not sure why Carrie ever needed a sequel cause it didnt.

Dont waste your time on this movie, like i did and just go watch the oringal film.

2nd and 3rd stories were better than the 1st story (0 more)
This book was 3 stories in one. I couldn't guess the killer but the book didn't grip me. All the books seemed a bit like a murder drama that would be on the TV. The main character ended up solving the crime for the detectives.
The good thing about this books was I got straight into them from page 1. It did keep me entertained and I did want to finish the book but wouldn't read them again.
The author did give the main characters voices and I really got their 'personalities'.
The book didn't give me much feeling.
I don't think the story lived up to the blurb. I was excited by the blurb so was a bit disappointed.
I probably wouldn't read another book by this author. I would normally decide if to read by reading the blurb but this one did let me down.
The 1st story (The devil died at midnight) was an 'ok' story for me.
The 2nd story (Hickory dickory dead) was better and I did enjoy it more. It did have more of a story line that I got into.
The 3rd story (Eye for revenge) was better than the first one but not as good as the 2nd one.

‏I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

I discovered John Marrs when I read his novel, The Passengers. Going off a recommendation, I picked up his book. What I had meant to read was The Passenger by Lisa Lutz. I still haven't read Lutz's but enjoyed finding Marrs.

What Lies Between Us is nothing like the John Marrs' The Passengers, Both are twisted and keep you engaged but that is where the similarities end.

The synopsis says that every house has its secrets. I believe that to be true. The house in this story is hiding a lot of secrets. Nina and Maggie are co-dependent on each other but with a complicated past. Nina blames Maggie for how Nina's life turned out. To get revenge, she chains Maggie in a soundproof room and is keeping her prisoner for twenty-one years or until she dies.

I have to admit I thought I figured everything out. That is until I assumed something Marrs implied. I should say, I mistakenly assumed something. When I finished the book, I needed to go back and reread a chapter. I completely fell for it. I do not want to ruin the secrets by saying too much but you have to read this book!
