Movie Metropolis (309 KP) rated Final Destination 2 (2003) in Movies
Jun 10, 2019
With a slick filming style and better characters, Final Destination 2 improved on its predecessor in almost every way.
The main disaster, a stunning motorway pile-up, is filmed to an exceptional standard with very little in the way of CGI and this makes way for more inventive deaths that have become talking points for fans of the franchise and converts alike.
Taking a more mythical approach, the violence comes thick and fast and this remains the second best edition of the series.

I read reviews before reading the book so I knew not to expect anything big. Going in with less expectation brought with it a very thought provoking book for me! I am still in shock that it was written by a man.
This book is the story of friendship between two women from childhood into adulthood. It is real. The struggle is real. Their lives are real. Nothing happens except life. It made me re examine my friendships and feel better about how our relationships have changed and evolved. So refreshing to read something real.

The best edition of one of the best, must-own board games in the world.
Tigris & Euphrates is one of my favourite games of the last twenty years, and a true classic of the modern boardgame era. Looking at the BGG rankings again, I find it an affront that it is not in the top-20 like it once used to be. Its current edition is the best that has ever been published. This is a must-buy; that's just it.

You go in expecting a fast paced action thriller, but you get something completely different. It's not a cliché. (2 more)
A good ensemble of actors who all bring in solid performances
As many people mention; the soundtrack is absurdly good. Fitting in beautifully with each melodramatic scene
Go in open minded. Suggesting this film to friends, I have always received varied mixed reviews. Not everyone is going to like it (1 more)
The slow pacing, limited conversation, and overabundance of intense eye contact might be a little too "different" for some to enjoy the movie
Go watch it

I had heard about this book time and time again over the past couple of years on reddit so when I finally got my hands onto a copy I had to dive in. I love all things horror, and this was the perfect amount of genuine creepiness and true psychological suspense. I've seen a few rough reviews based on the author's writing but I disagree. It was easy to read for me and had just the right amount of emotion in it for me. I would love to see more from this author!

This is one of those books where, although I really enjoyed reading it, I then went and checked a couple of negative reviews and thought 'yeah, I agree with many of your points'.
So, my actual rating is, like, 3.5.
Because, okay, I liked the writing style, I loved Reid, the diversity was fab, and it was full of smooshy fuzz-filled moments, but...
I feel Will's vagueness deserves the deduction of half a point.
Molly's repetitive whines lose this another half.
And, then, the ending did fall rather flat.

Powerful! It shows how our interactions really affects others.
I don't think this glamorizes suicide. After reading the book, I read some of the reviews that trashed it for that reason. I think it shows one girl's thought process that led her to commit suicide.
I went through the extremely painful process of helping a family pick up the pieces of their shattered lives because of a suicide. What they went through and continue to get through sucks! As the book pointed out, our actions affect others. Suicide affects more than just one person.

Couldn't put it down!!
This book had mixed reviews from the book club I'm a member of, I wasn't really expecting to enjoy it but thought I'd give it a go.
I was pleasantly surprised, I barely put it down and finished it in two days.
It follows the Character of Lale, how he tries to keep his family safe, how he survives the camps and how he is separated from the girl he loves. I found the characters likeable and it was an easy read.
