It's a short road trip book about a starving maniac and her terrible boyfriend that seems to expand beyond the limits of the page and the entire universe. It still echoes in my mind."

Series started well, I was hooked and sped through to book 2. I started slowing towards the end of book 2 and never regained the pace during book 3. Was very involved and detailed on the tactics and training and then the actual battle was one or 2 chapters? This is the end of the road for me with this series.
