Erika Kehlet (21 KP) rated Blackberry Burial (A Berry Basket Mystery #2) in Books
Feb 21, 2018
NOTE: I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy provided to me by the author.
Marlee and friends are back in the 2nd Berry Basket Mystery, and I enjoyed this one even more than the first. While surveying a possible starting location for the annual road rally, Marlee finds the body of a girl missing for 20 years hidden in the overgrowth. Can she catch a killer when the murder happened so long ago?
I enjoy reading about Marlee and her friends, and I would love to visit Oriole Point. With such a great combination of characters, setting, and suspense, Im already looking forward to book #3.

Fun interactive game
Kid friendly
I've had this app on and off ever since it came out. It hasn't gotten much better in the sense of the different things you can do, friends and trading, and speed and crashing. I remember 2 years ago it crashed nearly every time I opened the app and it does much better now. I think it only crash on me recently because I needed to update.
It's also a great game to play on road trips. You can see where you picked up each pokemon and it's a lot of fun sending gifts from a variety of pokestops and gyms.

This movie was just "ok" across the board-the acting, cinematography, story. Nothing flashy or anything about it. It played out well enough and kept me interested to the end. True crime fans will enjoy this low budget drama/thriller about a girl who gets caught up in some small town crime by getting lost on a bank country road. It was listed under horror, but there's really nothing "horror" about it. The main character is a pretty smart woman so her survival isn't exactly surprising. If you're looking for a decent movie to keep you occupied on a rainy day this one is worth a watch.
Russ Troutt (291 KP) rated Green Book (2018) in Movies

Green Book. It breaks my heart that such a book ever had to be printed, as it was a list of safe places for African-Americans to stay and eat at while vacationing. The movie takes us on the true story road trip of Dr. Don Shirley, a world class pianist, who hires a Tony Lip to be his driver and bodyguard while touring in the south in the early 1960's. The movie drives us through the racial tensions of the time which leads to some tense situations, but we also get plenty of laughs watching the making of a life long friendship between Doc and Tony.
Russ Troutt (291 KP) rated Take Me (2017) in Movies

You can take me at my word as I've not been kidnapped by Pat Healy and forced to say this, I'm writing this under my own free will, that Take Me is highly entertaining and is a fun ride of a movie. I'm talking a tied up in the back of a van with no seatbelt or stuffed in a trunk and taken up a mountain road kind of fun ride. Pat Healy is one of the best actors out there right now in my opinion, and I highly suggest you let him take you for a couple of hours with his feature directorial debut Take Me.
Ian Parr (9 KP) rated Wild Tales (2014) in Movies

"Six stories are told in this movie, and all are entertaining and enjoyable. However, because these are short stories, I found some ended too soon, left me wanting more, to find out what happened next, and one or two had disappointing endings. The pick of the stories are 'El más fuerte', about a road rage incident that escalates and the last story, 'Hasta que la muerte nos separe', about a wedding that goes very very badly! I would have liked some connection between each story, like a character appearing in each, but as it is it still comes highly recommended."
