...a riveting portrait of Elizabeth I as a romantic and

vulnerable teenager, dangerously awakening to a perilous

liaison with the wrong man.

England, 1547: King Henry is dead. Elizabeth's half-brother, nine-year-old Edward, is king in name only. Thomas Seymour, brother to the ambitious duke who has seized power in this time of crisis, calculatingly works his way into Elizabeth's home in genteel Chelsea House. He marries Henry's widow, Catherine Parr, and uses his venerable charms and sexual magnetism to indulge his infatuation for young Elizabeth. Caught hopelessly under Thomas Seymour's spell, surrounded by kind friends and hidden enemies, Elizabeth can only follow her heart to ensure survival.

I’m fascinated by the Tudors and our English history and I love historical fiction so this was right up my street! Robin Maxwell certainly knows how to spin a tail! Elizabeth is definitely one of my favourite royals and to have an insight of her young life after already overcoming the embarrassment of her mother’s demise then this scandal truly shows why she remained unmarried and one of the longest strongest rulers!!

Mix of comedy and science
This podcast, presented by Prof Brian Cox (he of the lovely hair and "isn't everything brilliant" attitude) teams up with angry comedian Robin Ince to present this BBC Radio 4 science podcast looking at the scientific discussions of the day, with guests representing differing viewpoints. Brian's engaging, accessible descriptions of the science involved meet Robin's layman's understanding (though I think he has a better understanding of things than he lets on) and deliver a good, understandable debate on why things matter and why we should be more interested in science.

WOW
I love Robin Williams so I was hesitant to watch this,,,but my man, Dwayne Johnson, did a good job on this one. It was quite different than the original, although the premise is the same. They jump into a video game and start living it. The best part is the characters that they become and how they learn more about themselves by being those characters. I love the movie, the story line and the ending. Amazing

When fanfic become real fic
This story started life as a Once Upon A Time fan fiction celebrating the love story that was Robin & Regina and now it’s has transcended the world of fanfic and made it to the pages of a real live book.
Be warned this story may give you cravings for more than baked good.
For anyone that ships Out Law Queen then you need to read this to celebrate the dedication of one of their most gifted fanfic shippers

Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind (2018)
Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind (2018)
2018 | Documentary
Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind was such a wonderful documentary. I'm sure if he was still here he'd make a sexual joke about the title. At first the tears were from laughter, but by the end they were from pure heartache and sadness. It truly breaks my heart knowing a man like himself who brought so much joy to others through his life was in the end hurting so terribly. I just want to reach through the screen and give him the sincerest of hugs. Let's all keep that spark of madness we each have lit for him. Nanu nanu.

Aladdin (2019)
Aladdin (2019)
2019 | Adventure, Family, Fantasy, Musical
In terms of the Disney live-action remakes, Aladdin falls somewhere in the middle. Not nearly as good as The Jungle Book or Christopher Robin, but not nearly as bad as an Alice In Wonderland. An updated story is just enough to not make it a carbon copy, but they did eliminate a lot of the magic from the original in the places that counted most, the music. Its saving grace is Naomi Scott and Will Smith, who jointly bring superb charisma and carry the film to the very last scene.
