This film is stupid Russian ship intercepts a signal from the space station which has an intelligent being in the signal then slaughters the whole crew by building robots then some fishermen find the Russian ship board it and then chaos happens as they try to survive the whole objective of this film from the alien point of view is to get the ship to port so it can spread which if the alien entity did not go around killing people in the first place it would of reached its objective anyway as the fishermen where trying to salvage the ship most of the crew die except for two

Going into this film, I thought it was going to be completely horrible and ridiculous. However, I was open to it because it was from GDT. It was goofy, and completely entertaining. I was sucked in by the concept, and it proved that someone should give GDT a Godzilla movie. The acting wasn't the best (Looking at you, Charlie Hunnam), but it completely pulled me in. Ron Pearlman was great for the whole 5-10 minutes he was in the movie. Charlie Day was also great, and one of the only reasons I'm going to see the next film. It made me completely hyped up for some robots to beat up monsters.

I've been wanting to read this book since it came out, and finally got a chance to borrow it from the library. Overall, it was a well-formed, quick-paced book, I dig sci-fi stories that are completely feasible.
Side note: A few days after I finished this book, a major telecom company in the US went down, and it reminded me of the fact that when the robots take over in this book, they knocked out all telecom. It totally freaked me out.
While I did enjoy this book, I'm not so sure if I'll continue the series. I don't feel like anything else needs to be added to the story.

"I remember hearing ‘African Bombaataa’ by Planet Rock and at the time time I was way into breakdancing and that was my whole life at maybe 9/10 years old. But those sounds for those records were so futuristic and I was way in into robots as a kid and science fiction and that music completely sounded like it was from another planet. And at that point I knew I wanted to make and create music and do something futuristic of that sort. Obviously I took another path or different style to the music we ended up creating as my job but even to this day electronic music I’m still very passionate about."
