Great series
I have been looking for a series that touched that part of me that fell in love with Anita Blake without all the sex scenes and I found that with this series! Jane is a strong female character that kicks butt and asks questions later! This book has her as rogue vampire hunter that takes on a job working for the very species she hunts!

Better Call Saul
2015 | Crime, Drama
Quite simply, better than Breaking Bad. With a slightly different mix between the underground criminal life and real life (here Jimmy MacGill's life as a respectable but morally dubious lawyer, rather than Walter White's family life), the tension is there and we watch as these characters (mainly "Saul" and Mike) start to move from respectable to the lovable rogue/terrifying gnome we have come to love from BB.

Beginning of the Rebellion
Probably the weaker of all the Star Wars spin off series. Very low on action a lot of the time. Set in the build up to Rogue One. This seems to show the beginning of the Rebellion movement. Star Wars fans will no doubt love it but it was dragged out at 12 episodes.

Betrayed: Days of the Rogue (Law of the Lycans #4) by Nicky Charles
Betrayed: Days of the Rogue promised to be an intriguing read, highlighting one of my favourite characters - Damien. However I will admit to being slightly disappointed as he wasn't in it as much as I wanted. Now, don't get me wrong. He still plays a major part in this book, but mainly it is about Eve and Rafe (which I guess is as it should be being as they're the romantic stars!) Still, Damien is such a fantastic character that I wanted more.

Moving on - this book has plenty of twists and turns, and you don't know until the end just which side Damien is on. There are murders happening of those with Fae blood, and it looks like Eve will be the next one. Rafe knows all about rogues from his time working with them. He also knows that the man on his territory is Damien. Rafe thinks Damien is the one doing the killing - he is a rogue after all. With old friends showing up, this is a great story and also shows that Eve is more than capable of rescuing herself!

Well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, this was a great addition to the series, and definitely recommended by me.

I've been eyeing this book for a long time. I was having one of those Am-I-going-to-like-this-if-I-buy-it? moments. And then I found it in paperback quite cheap on a book site so I took the plunge.

This starts with Jane going to New Orleans to meet a vampire client who asks her to take down a rogue vampire that has been killing and eating people and just leaving what's left of them in the street. It's the first time Jane has ever met a sane vampire and she's not sure what to make of her at first and meets a mix of characters as she hunts down the rogue killer.

I did like this but as a reader of romances, I did feel this lacked it a lot. There's some flirting going on but nothing concrete. That's not to say I didn't get dragged into the story. I was as intrigued with finding out who the rogue was and how they were managing to get away all the time.

Jane was a strong character and I enjoyed seeing inside her mind and how she dealt with Beast when she turned into her cat form.

We had a handful of secondary characters like Rick, Jodi, Leo and Bruiser - George - that I grew to like and I'm intrigued how Jane's relationship with them will grow in future books.

I'm intrigued enough to continue the series at some point.
