Now, this is probably my favourite book out of all the series, one because of my love of reptiles and two it just has that sort of charm that steals you in and doesn’t let you leave!
Usually reptiles (snakes, etc) are the bad guys and are always portrayed in not the best light. Snicket has a fantastic way of turning this on its head (no spoilers, get reading the books). His wit, charm and eclectic use of the English language is fantastical, managing to just keep you turning those pages over and over again until you realise you’ve finished the book … then you just want to carry on reading the next book in the series.
The poor Orphans do suffer a lot at Snickets hand, and we are so intrigued as to how these three will cope and handle that rogue Count Olaf that you can’t help but follow their misadventures and misfortunes.
If you are a fan of misery, mystery and a lot of humour and wit these books are for you!

As always I loved the latest book by Jillian Dodd.

In this book Huntley decides she has had enough and has gone rogue, she will now be working for herself and getting the answers she wants.

Of course she is successful and we start to uncover more secrets and understand a bit more about the plan that starts in Montrovia, however as one question is answered more pop up in its place.

I was disappointed with the lack of Ari in this book as I like him as a character and it is nice to see Huntley’s interactions with him, so hopefully he will be back in the last two books.

I must say the ending left me shocked and I couldn’t quite believe what had just happened and whilst I started to get ideas as to what it might all mean I am by no means confident that I am correct.

Fully recommend this series if you enjoy action, mystery and romance, they honestly seem to have a bit of everything (:

A series of two halves
I loved the first series of Quantico so naturally looked forward to this. The first half of the series is similar to the first series. This time set at the CIA training school as they learn how to be an agent. Often going back and forth in time to present day. This time their is a convulted plot about a rogue group of agents working in the security service. Along with trying to find out who they are and what they want. I had quite a gap between watching the first and second half of the series. But the second half changes direction completely with a focus on some conspirators trying to bring around a far right takeover of government. Unfortunately it just became a bit of a slog to finish the series at 22 episodes. The first half was interesting but it got over complicated later on. The ending was very disappointing as well.
