A Promise for Tomorrow by Miranda Barnes is a wonderful book. It is a story about new beginning and new romantic interests. Just because one chapter in your life ends does not mean that life ends all together and this story shows the reader that second chances come around. Sarah, the main character, needed a change of pace so she quit her job, ended her relationship that was going nowhere and moved to a new place. In her new environment she found a new job, and made new friends. Sarah met India and became good friends which opened the door to meeting more people like Robert. The story will have you rooting for Sarah and Robert and their relationship.
The story was simply written but shows that people can take a chance on love when they have lost the one they love.

It was a good thing to have read but it strongly underscored a painfully ignorant romanticized view of war that Americans are so fond of. She did not see children shot on the road in cold blood, she did not see officers give their men permission to rape any woman who disrespected them. She did not see the pow camps, did not see grandmothers and babies dead of exposure in the snow. She did not see the factory worker women (largely woc) kidnapped, raped over many days, and then abandoned hundreds of miles from home with nothing. There were no “white saviors” here or anywhere. War is not Romantic. Even the “Just Cause” lies on a bed of sending boys with little (if any) stake in the disagreement to maim and kill and torture other boys like themselves because old men can’t be bothered to work out their disputes at a table and instead delight in laying waste to their Nation’s youth.

An underrated Disney film, Lilo and Stitch is a great movie. It shows the hardships of keeping family together and the value of knowing you can pick your family, sort of.
Lolo is a strange kid even under Disney standards, with her stories, voodoo dolls, and taking random (tourist) pictures. There are two places that never fail to make me cry and if I don't at the scene with the hammock when Nani is singing to Lilo then I lose it when Stitch is lost in the forest waiting on his family. It's not all sad Lilo teaching Stitch about how to behave using Elvis as a model and everything falling apart is priceless.
I love David and although Nani is too busy to be looking for any romantic anything he doesn't overly pressure her and you can tell he cares for her and her family. Although he is way to chill when he meets all the other aliens.
Good movie for any age.

Amazing!

Couldn't be more engrossed every time I watch this film!! I grew up watching this with my sister's and it's the right amount of comedy witchy romantic horror.

Story about two girls that loose there father to a curse and there mother from heart break, they move in with there aunts who are witches like them they grow up learning spells and then part ways one goes off to explore the world one stays home, they both fall in love one has two witchy girls and the other..........turns out she loved a psychopath working together the two sisters 'get rid of him' with the police investigating them and the ex boyfriend coming back to haunt them this witchy comedy soon turns to a darker setting and it's a race in time to get rid once again.

Incredible film if you have not watched the two brilliant actresses sandra bullock and Nicole Kidman together in this film, you need to!
