How about that - a nice little twist on the classic romantic comedy genre. Here we get boy meets boy, boy loses boy, boy gets boy! You can read my full review here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/01/03/a-fine-gay-romance/

Smart, charming, original, and hysterically heartwarming, The Lovers is a peaceful and rare romantic comedy from breakout writer/director Azazel Jacobs that perfectly balances the two words in its genre.

Kate (355 KP) rated Isn't It Romantic (2019) in Movies
Mar 2, 2019
Selected to watch so it would be background for some jobs I needed to do, the jobs didn't get done I watched the film instead. It is a complete send up of romantic comedies and is actually quite funny in places. Think of a plot in romantic comedy and yes they are all basically the same, then you have the plot line for this. Lots of well known stars in it, throughly enjoyable, watch it you might be pleasantly surprised.

The Book that Inspire the movie... The greatest Romantic Action Comedy of all time... "They’re kissing again. Do we have to read the kissing parts?"
The only downside to reading this book, is that there is almost nothing the movie didn't cover... if you are looking for hidden gems the movie left out, you will be disappointed, otherwise this might be one of a few perfect adventure books of all time.
Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Home Again (2017) in Movies
Sep 11, 2017
Home Again prospers from a talented cast and a serviceable performance by Witherspoon, but the aggressive blandness that lays within the screenplay of first-time director Hallie Meyers-Shyer makes this romantic comedy nothing past Hallmark quality.

A great romantic comedy. One of the best I've seen right up there with Love Actually. It has a great cast and just has a quality feel about the whole film. A very entertaining feel good film. So if you normally avoid rom-coms you may have missed out on this little gem.
