The newest (at the time of writing) entry in Marvel's on-going Star Wars series, that sees Luke, Han, Leia et al travel to the planet of Jedha between the events of 'A New Hope' and 'The Empire Strikes Back': the planet, that is, that first appeared in the relatively-recent movie 'Rogue One' and on which the might of the Death Star was first practiced.

As such, Jedha is now a ruined planet under Imperial Occupation, with this collection (of issues number 38-43) also covering the effects of Saw Garrera's partisan group: another relatively recent addition to the whole Star Wars canon!

While Luke tries to learn more about being a Jedi as Leia seeks to form an alliance with the remaining members of that partisan group and as Han grows into a leadership role, the Empire tightens their grip on the planet.

I must admit to being a bit lost at first: although this is vol 7 in the series, the 'read in order' on the inside jacket actually places this after 'The Screaming Citadel': maybe if I'd read that, this might flow better?

Whisper Whisper Whisper
The Book of Eli- is a good post apocalyptic movie. The only problem most of the movie is whispering from all of the character's. So i had no idea what the charcter were saying. Probley should of watched it with subtitles. The problem is i dont have the dvd. So i would have to watch it again once the libary's open. In the meantime, i love post apocalyptic movies and settings and this one was good. I love denzel's character. It has good action. And Gary oldman was good as the villian.

The plot: Thirty years after war turned the world into a wasteland, a lone warrior named Eli (Denzel Washington) marches across the ruined landscape, carrying hope for humanity's redemption. Only one other man (Gary Oldman) understands the power of what Eli carries, and he is determined to take it for himself. Though Eli prefers peace, he will risk death to protect his precious cargo, for he must fulfill his destiny to help restore mankind.

I suggest if you watch it, watch it with subtitles. Cause its mostly whispering.

Most films about cancer end with the patient dying, but this one starts with her already passed. We are then thrown into how Abigail and Sam first met, right back from the first time Abigail bit Sam as a child.
One day when Abigail goes to the Dr's thinking she is pregnant, she learns she is not pregnant but has stage 4 cancer. Even though it's mentioned at the start, you still feel so sad for her as the couple are so young and happy.
After going to a cancer support group, Abi worries that Sam will go through 'a slut phase' after she's gone, so she sets about trying to find him a new girlfriend.
I thought the movie was mediocre at best. There was a few scenes with over the top humour which ruined the feel of the movie for me. For example the scenes with the Dr at the hospital and the support group, the awful cheesy humour was not necessary. I did enjoy the scenes with Abi and Myran though, but I felt there was no chemistry between Abi and Sam which was a real shame.
