Great pairing makes this worth watching
What makes this film work is the brilliant pairing of Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. They’re very much like the odd couple, but they’re absolutely hilarious together and along with a pretty funny script, this is what makes this film so good. Ryan Gosling’s cowardice and girly screaming had me in hysterics throughout. And although Russell Crowe is playing to type as the hard man, he’s the perfect foil to Gosling’s character.

The 70s LA setting, whilst reminiscent of other LA based period films, really works too and is much better than any modern day setting. The real issue with this film is the plot - it seems a little bit silly and far fetched, and also a little bit confusing. It needed a much stronger crime plot to support the rest of the film. But despite this, it’s really worth watching for Gosling and Crowe alone, just be wary of the plot!

This this hilarious. I got a group together to see it in theaters and it was one of the best group movie outings I’ve been on. Def see the director’s other movie (starring Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer) Kiss Kiss Bang Bang for more great buddy cop style fun.

This movie was a surprise for me. Didn't think I would like it as much as I did. Great pairing with Russel and Ryan. Incredibly intelligent comedy.

An original laugh
The Nice Guys is directed by Shane Black and stars Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling as two very different kinds of private investigators. The movie is great and has Shane Black’s fingerprints all over it. It is especially reminiscent of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and the Lethal Weapon movies. Typical flawless hero Ryan Gosling is cast here perfectly as a burnt out alcoholic wimp of a man, his comedic timing is perfect and seeing that in tandem with Russell Crowe’s no nonsense hard man act makes for fantastic chemistry and comedy gold. The plot is kind of all over the place, but a tight, cleverly written script holds the whole thing together.

Inside Your Head
Virtuosity- is a intresting sci-fi action thriller. Where Russell Crowe was the villian. He was so insane and crazy in this movie, i loved it. The only downfall was towards during the 3rd/the final act, it got so insane and crazy that I had no idea what was going on and i would have to watch it again. So if your going to watch this movie, be warned you have to do a second viewing cause of how insane and crazy it gets.

The plot: A former cop who has been imprisoned for murdering the psychopath who killed his family, Parker Barnes (Denzel Washington) is recruited to test out a new virtual-reality program where the goal is to apprehend a computer-generated being called SID 6.7 (Russell Crowe), who has been modeled on hundreds of deranged criminals. When SID manages to escape into the real world, Barnes must capture or destroy him before the soulless entity can go on a killing spree.

It mixes sci-fi, action, suspense and crazyness into one movie. A must watch if you haven't heard or seen it.
