I have to say, I did not like the pack and when the story revolved around them and their politics, it rather ruined the book for me. They seemed to completely ignore anything human, and I get that the behavior is like real wolves, I do, but I guess I was hoping for something more original and not such a cliché. Kitty was a great character when she was on the air, then she turned into a sniveling, submissive pack member pretty much the rest of the time. Also, I hated that the author felt she needed a sacrifice in the story, especially one of the best characters in the book. That's all I'm going to say so I don't ruin it for future readers. Overall, it's a decent and fast read, although I'm not sure whether or not I want to continue; I definitely won't go out of my way to read the next book.

I have been given an opportunity to review the book “Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice” by Adam Makos. I read this 420 book in two days, day one was while I was receiving my infusion of Rituximab. “Devotion” inspired me. It melted my heart. It gave me an adventure to be a part of. I deeply enjoyed reading about the friendship of Tom Hudner and Jesse Brown during the Korean War as pilots. I enjoyed reading the other stories of friendship between the soldiers of the war. What captivating me the most is the friendship between Brown and Hudner. One was a share croppers son and African American and the other was a rich kid from New England. How did these two become such great friends? Friendship and devotion like this was uncommon back in the 50’s, but it happened. This book is just as wonderful as “Unbroken” and just as powerful. So worth the time to read.

A weird, but emotionally gripping movie.

I watched this when it first came out in 2018... at first I almost switched over as I thought it could be another cheaply made movie, with unknown actors. It took a while to get into it and also I found it slightly frustrating. However, the movie did play with my emotions and next thing I know I'm pulled in and gripped by the relationship between Julia and Tau. At first we explore the frightening and negative side of Tau and learn how powerful the AI actually is. But then towards the end we got to know the good Tau and the beautiful bond between him and Julia. I honestly started to wish that there was a real man behind Tau, unveiled to have a happy ending with Julie. Not much I can recall, but I certainly recall crying at the end for the sacrifice Tau had made for Julia.
