Unexpectedly fun
For a film series that has had its ups and downs, going into Dark Phoenix, I had my doubts but came pit of the film feeling it was better than my expectations.

Story wise it handled the Dark Phoenix Saga better than the last time it was used in X-Men: The Last Stand. However for being the last film in the X-Men Saga, it didn't feel like the end it felt like there was more to come when there won't.

Also the only downside story wise was the villain of the film who wasn't really needed and could have just been Jean Grey.

A good film overall but I'm now looking forward to seeing Professor X alongside Thor and Spider-Man

Wow. Just Wow. I've loved each movie in this series progressively more, and Rise of Skywalker was no exception. The fast pace kept me engaged, the twists and turns were exciting, and I loved the character development. I think that this was a really good movie to end the Skywalker saga. I loved it and I will go watch it again.

This was a really enjoyable saga and Mandanna is a skilled storyteller.

Despite the cultural setting of the book the characters were very real and easy to identify with and Mandanna enabled you to sympathise with each one even amongst their pain and unforgiveness.

Tiger Hills is a great debut novel and I look forward to reading more from Mandanna in the future.
