"This emotional journey compelled me to want understand the past of my own Taiwanese mother better. It is the story of four Chinese American women in San Francisco and how their mothers’ struggles in the Chinese homeland made them who they were. It is a highly emotional and exceptionally beautiful story."

Annie Kincaid gets caught up in a web of murder and betrayal when she identifies a painting at a San Francisco museum as a forgery. Plenty of laughs to this cozy caper, and the characters were wonderful.

Great crime thriller
A very good film, if slightly drawn out, that follows the story of the Zodiac killer of the 70's around San Francisco. The fact it is all based on true events and evidence will hook you in even more. It can be a bit slow but if you like cat and mouse thrillers you should like this.

As yet another serial killer attacks San Francisco, the ladies of the Women's Murder Club are rocked by tragedy. I really am getting hooked on these thrillers, but the cardboard characters are hard to really bond with, a problem driven home by this book.

Daniel accepts a temporary top secret assignment with the Secret Service. Molly is trying not to worry about her husband until she gets a strange note in the mail. The more she looks at it, the more she thinks he is asking her to come to San Francisco. Why would Daniel ask for Molly’s help? What will she find when she arrives?

This is another wonderful trip back to 1906 with Molly and her family and friends. We get to see them before and after the time in San Francisco, but that never really slows down the plot. The mystery does get a bit sidetracked by the real events unfolding in the city during that time, but it still makes for page turning reading.

Hunt for Missing Teachers
Three teachers have gone missing in San Francisco, and all eyes are on San Francisco police officer Lindsay Boxer as she is leading the hunt for them. Unfortunately, there are few leads. Can she find anything before it is too late? Meanwhile, her new husband, Joe Molinari, has found a woman near the FBI’s San Francisco office. This woman, Anna, claims to have just seen a known war criminal from her native Serbia in the city. Is she right? What is he doing there? Can Joe make sure this man receives the justice he deserves?

Outside the prologue and epilogue, this book takes place five years in the past, meaning that some of the recent stupidity in Joe and Lindsay’s marriage has been forgotten. I couldn’t be happier about that. The story is another fast-paced mystery against overwhelming odds that keep the pages turning. It even gave me something I’ve been wanting for a long time in this series (no spoilers, don’t worry). Unfortunately, most of the Women in the Women’s Murder Club are reduced to cameos as the plot drives forward. The characters continue to be fairly thin, but that’s no surprise to fans. We get into Anna’s past and the war crimes that took place in Serbia, so expect the heavier subject matter when you pick up this book. Overall, fans of the series should be happy with this latest offering.

Tales of the City is set in San Francisco in 1976 - three years after I was born, so how can I feel nostalgic?! This is how a feel good book should be written. I loved it.

They’re all great characters, and I warn you - this is a laugh out loud book, and when you have to explain to the 12 or 14 year old sons WHY you’re laughing, the explanations can be interesting! I feel fortunate that a friend convinced me to go and see Armistead Maupin with her at my local literature festival, otherwise I don’t know whether I would have ever picked up this book. I’d simply never heard of Maupin, and I don’t have Netflix to have heard about the TV series. Now I wish I had Netflix!

I’m glad I have book 2 waiting in the wings, because I really want to keep living in 1970s San Francisco!

Key racing game
This is the the game that kinda prequeled Project Gotham Racing on the Xbox. With fewer cars, tracks and cities than the first PGR game. It had incredible detailed city tracks based on Tokyo, San Francisco and London. Allowing you to race around Westminster, do doughnuts in Leicester Square. There were time attacks, various challenges and the new Kudos system. For the time this was the most detailed racing game ever!

When Percy Jackson's friend Annabeth is kidnapped, he heads to San Francisco to try to free her. But with the Titan's involved, will he make it out alive? This is the third in the Percy Jackson series, and the adventures are still mostly self-contained while building toward something big. I'm enjoying the ride and anxious to see where it all leads.

When Birds Attack
The Birds- is one of my favorite alfred hitchcock films.

The birds- is mysterious, dramatic, horrorfying and overall a great movie.

Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) meets Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) in a San Francisco pet store and decides to follow him home. She brings with her the gift of two love birds and they strike up a romance. One day birds start attacking children at Mitch's sisters party. A huge assault starts on the town by attacking birds.

The birds is a must see film.
