My favorite film ever!
This is the film that made me a cinephile! I majored in film because of how amazed I was when I saw this for the first time at age 11. When the line “and like that...he’s gone!” was uttered over the black screen to end the film I was astounded, and knew right then that film would be a huge part of my life from that moment.

I received a copy of The Girl the Sea Gave back from Wednesday Books through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. It's the second in the series but I honestly didn't feel I missed anything by not reading the first one.

I loved the short flashback to Halvard and Tova's pasts.

I saw in some reviews that people thought there was too much romance but honestly I didn't get that at all.

Takes the well known poem and turns it into an awesome battle with sorcerors! (0 more)
Hammer meets Poe!
I saw this about 30 years ago and it's stuck in my mind. Vincent Price plays sorcerer, and if that isn't enough to get you to watch it, then I can't help you.... Some good effects in its day. This film actually made me want to read the poem, which for me, I'm sorry to say, wasn't as good as the film.

Gives explanation that was lacking in first movie (0 more)
This is not a serious edge of your seat scary movie. It is Groundhog's Day meets Scream. If you saw the first movie then you will appreciate that you get an explanation as to why there was a time loop to begin with. This movie isn't solely focused on the main character from the first movie and IMO is not quite as funny although it does still have some lol moments.

I love doctor who but this season has been terrible, I feel sorry for the actors really. The problem is the writers, the story lines are shockingly bad, they are so bad that my daughter who is obsessed with doctor who refuses to watch it after she saw the 1st episode, it devastated her at how bad it was. It really doesn't feel like you are watching doctor who anymore.

Well I finally saw it. It was surprisingly good. I enjoyed it better than its two predecessors. The only problem I had with it was that it tried to put too much into this one film. They could've spread the story out more through the trilogy and made them all much better. That being said, this is a must watch for any Star Wars fans. A good end to a long run. Worth a watch.

Guilty of being a terrible film
Another film to avoid on Netflix. Hoped this would be some sort of creepy film set at a boarding school. Not scary or suspenseful at all. Really feels like a cheap made for TV film. Plot is so simple but the films drags so much it feels twice as long. Hoped for better when I saw Kelly Reilly in the cast. Do not add to your watch list!

"The first Terry Gilliam film I ever saw. I was ten years old, and it’s still my favorite (Brazil comes in at a close second). What ten-year-old wouldn’t want to be Kevin, pursued by a godlike figure, with a band of pirate dwarfs, while hopping from one major historical event to the next? I can’t remember how many times I’ve seen this, but it’s probably the same number of times I’ve watched The Goonies. —BF"

"Scott Z. Burns’ “The Report” tells the story of the Herculean efforts of Daniel J. Jones to make sure that the Senate Intelligence Committee report on torture saw the light of day. Its powerful resonance with “right now” is because it makes us imagine how many thousands of unseen Daniel J. Joneses — mid-range white-collar workers with normal values and decent character — in government are leaving in droves from Justice, State, FDA, EPA, DEA … etc…"
