"I love Time Bandits, and it obviously fits into the kids’-adventure-fantasy stuff that I’m into. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen was actually the first film I ever saw in a theater when I was eight years old, and I was euphoric. After that I rented every Terry Gilliam movie. In Time Bandits, he mixes animation and live action, which is an important aesthetic element in the movies I make. When I was twenty I had a short at the London Film Festival, and I was there with my friend so we were traveling from party to party, drinking and eating, because we didn’t have any money. At one party we saw Terry Gilliam, and I started talking to this woman about seeing Baron Munchausen and how it made me want to make movies, and she said, “Well, my husband is Terry Gilliam, you should go say hello to him.” So I went over to him and said, “I just need you to know that I’m here because you made me want to make movies,” and he said, “I’m so sorry.”"

"The next I would say is La Strada because, well, do I really have to say? I feel like it’s sort of self-explanatory. Like [laughs] Giulietta Masina, I mean every performance, but particularly the last scene in the movie, with Anthony Quinn and just being on the beach, and everything about that movie is beautiful. And there’s something always about his films that, knowing that audio was recorded post shooting the film — I’m pretty sure that’s true with that movie — just to know, in a way, if it is true, it’s just to know that there are two sort of performances happening simultaneously. You can see and hear that. And I love that idea and what skill and sort of the presence to this day that movie has. And it’s also personally really resonant because my father said after he saw that movie, it was what made him want to make movies, and when I finally saw it when I was a teenager, I understood why. So it inevitably has a resonance beyond the brilliance of the movie itself."

I just saw this in theaters and was amazed by the visual effects. I am slightly new to Dune (never read the book or saw the 80s movie. Although I have caught references to it because I'm a scifi and fantasy nerd). So I was mostly going in blind.
I did get confused with a few things that were happening I did eventually get enough that most of my questions got answers (and I figure those that didn't will be explained when I read the book).

The actors were great. And I found myself getting lost in the story on multiple occasions. On the times I thought the movie was dragging I'm not positive that it was completely the movie's fault as much as it being a combination of lack of knowledge on my part and the movie theater starting the movie late and playing a large amount of trailers beforehand, and usually when I thought this it was after a time i was confused.

I can't wait to see part two.

Another hit in the LEGO franchise
This is probably one of the best parody movies in recent memory. It is hilarious from start to finish and the voiceover cast is brilliant. I enjoyed the Lego movie more than I thought I would the first time I saw it and I enjoyed this even more. Do yourself a favour, no matter what age you are, give this a watch and I promise you will not regret it.

Interesting
Decided to look this one up when I saw the show coming out. Very captivating movie. Low budget but well done. The concept isn't completely original - government attempting to create perfect soldier, etc - but was definitely told in an interesting way. The acting and cinematography were good. I would've appreciated subtitles in the scenes where other languages were spoken, but, it is what it is. Overall a decent action thriller with a unique protagonist and storyline. Worth a watch!

Excellent
I see what the hype is all about!! When I saw a few trailers this looked liked an odd teen-comedy to me?! After finally watching it, I can say it blends elements of Watchmen, Kill Bill, and Superbad. Quite violent and bloody for a film with a strong dose of comedy. It has some great action scenes, a very cool car and a fine soundtrack too! This film does what it says on the cover, it Kicks-Ass!!

The music from the trailer should have been featured more prominently somewhere in the film, or the whole time

Ok, so I saw a recommendation online for a movie on Netflix called "Teeth". I looked it up and watched it. It's a dark-comedy/horror film. This one was weird. Do NOT watch it with kids as it has a lot of sexual content and some pretty gross scenes. It was made well enough. The acting was a bit, meh, but not too bad. The story had some, well, sick twists... anyway, worth a watch if you're into horror films.

Fun comedy with a great cast
I saw this movie today at the cinema, I had seen a trailer for it a few months ago and to be honest even though the trailer was funny I forgot about it. My partner noticed it was out now so we went. I wasn't disappointed, from the beginning of the film I found myself laughing. I thought the cast were really strong and they did bounce off each other well. I would really recommend.
